  1. And I just converted to 1 x 10 and need my clutch to work.
  2. I wonder if the LORD will have MERCY on his soul if he puts one of them bicycles in the DITCH one of these days................... and for using his name in vain.
  3. Yes there is. But the military won't put someone that just finished school in a Gripen and say let's start your training. Just because I don't have a drivers licence does not mean that I can't get a pilot's licence and I see a drivers licence the same as your basic pilots PPL licence (both are the basic licence) I do however see your point. Official police vehicles should not be used for basic drivers licence training.
  4. Well if that is your view on this how do you feel about the army guys receiving training? Should persons that want to become pilots go and get their licence before they enrol to the army? Why must we pay for them to receive training on how to fly a plane and handle a firearm? Is the army/police academy not a government institution that people can use to get further training and education whilst working for them. As far as I know you can enrol at the army and they pay for your studies/training whilst you work for them. How is a SAPS driving school any different.
  5. I think your time starts when your batch starts. So if you started with your wife your time was already running and that is why there is an extra few minutes on your result.
  6. Cant think of a better place to build a XCO type of bike park. Will be an awesome training place. That trails were hard when I rode there with my YZ250. On a MTB it will be torture but boy will it be fun
  7. Why don't you see if the result is on the Racetec website? Or contact Racetec and ask them if they can tell you the time.
  8. Hmmmm. Plenty hub sounds but no bearing replacement info on Youtube
  9. I pushed the piston out one whilst bleeding mine. Luckily I was able to get it back in, but had to bleed the system twice to get all the air out. I'm sure you get replacement parts for them. But I think your LBS will have to order it.
  10. Did you forget to put in the bleed block? Oh shoot. I see you were only replacing pads.
  11. They just want the sweets or chocolate. Perhaps time to exchange with some Brooklax
  12. Entered. Best of luck Pottie. Hope you can make it BIG TIME soon!
  13. Then we are ALL fools. Be honest and tell us if you obey all traffic rules (on your bike as well as in your car). By that I mean you stop dead at all stop streets, don't exceed the speed limit once, don't drive with your fog lights on (I hate it when people do this) etc etc etc.
  14. Sadly very true. Just read this morning. http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2014/04/28/driver-dies-happy-song-facebook-_n_5223175.html?utm_hp_ref=mostpopular
  15. Hahahaha. True. Don't know if I'm just more aware of it lately but it is astonishing how many robots only have one working globe these days. Usually you can work out if the light is green, yellow or red by looking at one of the others but I stopped at a 3 way intersection the other day and noticed that of not one of the green lights facing our way or the way of the people to my right were working. That was 0 of the 5 green lights visible to me were working.
  16. Come to think of it. How many drivers treat a robot that is out completely as a stop sign.
  17. Have you ever seen how many people treat a flashing red as a stop sign? I think they forgot to teach that in driving school. That will make the situation much more dangerous I think.
  18. Hahahaha. That is usually the case.
  19. PS. Dicing cars is GREAT interval training. PSS. Chasing cars that have a beautiful lady driver is AWESOME interval training
  20. Never mind dicing cars. If you want to pull a ten to 15m gap you usually have to go as the light turns green and that is exactly the time when the driver of the car that skips the red light takes you out. It's fine if you do it but keep an eye out for cars that skip lights.
  21. I usually do the same but you do get the person that did not shift to a lower gear before coming to a stop etc etc. I do track stands quite well and seldom ever have to cleat out whilst waiting at a intersection and I am also able to pull a gap. I was just generalising a bit I suppose to get my point across.
  22. And No, I dont ride for the Lab
  23. I cross over red lights...........why...........because 100m past the red light the two lanes might become one and the driver behind me might not be watching his lane as he is checking his side mirror for a gap to merge into the other lane. Think about it. The intersection is the most dangerous section for a cyclist. Now we are stationary and the light turns green. We slowly start moving and whilst doing so we might be a bit unstable as well trying to cleat in and trying to go around all the rubbish in the intersection and whilst all this is going on other cars are trying to pass you as well. I will never just jump a red light but I will slow down and cross it when safe because then I am less of a obstruction further down the road to the cars that stopped behind me.
  24. As with cars I think people have become to dependant on technology to help them out there their skills come short. Electronic stability control, traction control etc etc etc. Yea sure it's great that they are developing all this but it's just not for me. I will rather work on my skills to become more fluid through a section than having tech that does it for me. Think the most tech thing on my mtb must be my clutch derailleur.
