If its loose then its not doing anything and I would try and remove it, but don't go and try and take everything out. Yes remove the tacky bits stuck to the bead. They can cause your tire to not seed properly on the rim.

Hehehe. Also done that. Had to top up my sealant afterwards because I opened up some of the previous holes again. Wanted to kicked myself.

By cleaning I dont mean you have to remove the peaces of sealant thats stuck to the tire. I would just remove the tire, hose it off and let it dry our before putting it om the new rim and I will also suggest putting in fresh sealant.

I agree pretty much. I would however clean/wash the tire out with soapy water and put in some fresh Stans. Maybe the Stans wont work so lekker if it's mixed with another sealant.

Is the new rim a tubeless rim?

I mostly only use my middle chain ring up front anyway thus I should be fine on a 1x9 setup. Its only on the flats that I use big blade up front. Thanks, I'll check out the app

Supply & Demand High demand = High price. In the end events should be run like businesses. The people organising it do so for a living and want to work for a company that is profitable. If people feel that they are getting ripped off then they should not enter/support these races.

He should be fine. As far as I remember the longer distance has their own route but will join the shorter distance at some places but usually it will be somewhere on a jeep track so there should be ample space for faster riders to pass.
