I'm all for awareness but are you going to do it the right way. Did they get the necessary permissions etc. Otherwise all you will be making the public aware of is how unlawful we are whilst demanding that other road users be lawful.

Wonder if you have to cycle in their kit as well after purchasing the entry or do you have to pay the substitution fee as well

I agree. The 5% handling fee notice must be right next to the Refund/Exchange notice. Did you see that notice? If you didn't then the LBS did you a favour by refunding you.

If your head was hanging you would not have seen the warning anyway. Look up, it could have been worse. It's your own fault if you want to travel at that speed and don't look where you are going.

Cycle Lab charges you the 5% handling fee before you have even taken the part out the shop because they are 10-15% more expensive than other cycle shops. I feel if you did not take the crank as well as your frame into the shop so that the assistant can actually check if all parts fit then it's your mistake because you could have given him the wrong info. You might have tried to force the bb into the frame and damage the part and then you return it and they lose money because of your negligence. I get CPA and "the customer is king" BUT people abuse that right/term and that is why they charge 5%.

Best you go seek professional help from people that does bike setup. A XL frame might fit you but it wont necessarily give you the correct setup. and that might stuff up your back,knees etc.

Really??? Picturesque! Do you enter races to look at scenery along the route or to test your fitness? If you want to look at something pretty whilst cycling go and ride in Sabie or the cradle or enter mtb races or something or you can contact a tour company and they will show you all the beautiful places in the area. Water point at the top of the hill........... I'd rather re-start at the top of the hill with a flat/downhill section than have to stop at the bottom, grab something to drink and then have to re-start, then all your momentum is broken.

Suppose it depends on if you want to do it the right way because I'm sure you will have to get the company's permission to use their logo. But I think it's as easy as sending them an email and ask their permission and ask them to send you the vector files for the logo. I'm sure they won't mind the extra publicity.

You guys caught me napping up Joe Slovo. Tried to close the gap but could not. Burned all fuel to try and catch back up and that was pretty much the end of my day. Must say that it was my first real race on a road bike and it was my 3rd ride on a road bike so I was a bit inexperienced and didn't know much about bunch riding and rode pretty much at the back for my own safety as well as others.

Your talking A Bunch talent here. If I was able to stay with the C Bunch they would probably have pulled me to a 2h30'ish. Anyone below 2h30 I think is a machine!

I think the JMPD was pathetic. This was going on the whole day and they could not do anything about it. They were probably bribed with Chocolate Chocolate and therefore there was no chocolate for the kids next to the road.
