If you're specifically looking for Specialized, try Dunkeld cycles. Westdene has a nice selection of other brands, including Sidi which IMHO are the best.

Forgot to mention, while in Cape Town on business 2 weeks ago I popped in to the shop and landed up spending an hour there chatting to Chris Snr - nearly missed the meeting I had flown to CT for!! A lot of bike shops are cold and unfriendly when a stranger walks in - CWC is exactly the opposite.

Hi guys, thought I would revive this thread, having just experienced another dose of awesome CWC service. I have been busy putting my dream bike together and Chris Jnr was an absolute legend helping me decide on sizing, as well as selling me a whole lot of components for it. I purchased a groupset, wheels, handlebar, saddle, bottle cages - pretty much everything except the frame - and it arrived 2 days later by door to door courier. Not only does Chris' prices rival those of CRC, comobike etc. but the service is simply untouchable. Chris - you are a serious asset to a trouble SA cycling industry. Thanks and keep it up.

Tubbies are great... I was riding (mostly racing) mine (Schwalbe Ultremo) for a year before I hit some glass on Ontdekkers Road that cut the tire - even then a can of flat fix got me home on about 6 bar. They roll like a dream though, usually at around 11 bar - very little rolling resistance. And oh yeah they look so damn hot too

It is, but going to be crazy expensive. The cassette will cost around $350 due to the time taken to machine it.

No idea what the reason is but I agree after experiencing this on yesterday's ride.

The other great combination is Schwalbe Nobby Nic on the front, Racing Ralph on the back. But as Rude pointed out, this is more expensive and the UST versions are harder to get in SA than Conti.

I also use Mtn King front, Race King rear, with Stans. Works perfectly and is a fantastic tire combo. In fact I rode the whole Epic like this without a single puncture.
