  1. Spank rims.. Not the hubs;) Hope floating rotors are 6 bolt! If you want the best brakes to go with strongest wheels, lol
  2. Strongest wheels weight no prob. Rim: Spank stiffy 40, im a big Spank convert, only rims i'll buy http://spank-ind.com/index.php?a=info&do=pro&id=4&tid=4 Hubs, dont know what to pick here. Saint? I like my nukeproof generators though.
  3. Leave carbon and Alu for XC, SS is about riding something different.
  4. Of those 3 the scott looks the best specced, previous model parts, but still very good That xtc team is old The terrago is entry entry level, and would be looking to upgrade within week.
  5. Wheelsize and brand might be irrelevant, but frame size will surely matter;) im about as big as you, also just over 100kg. Try and find a medium bike. Should be able to find some nice 26" hardtails, under the hardtail category under complete bikes in classifieds. Look for something that has Slx, Xt, sram X7 or X9 parts. And then you go look at the bike. Even with an untrained eye you can see if the bike was looked after or abused. Choose the looked after one!
  6. As long as its steel or titanium.... Or bamboo, lol
  7. just arrest the guy with white crocs... not because of the bike he's riding, lol
  8. Alu better resale, cheaper initially and people aren't as reluctant to buy. Carbon, expensive initially and people worried about cracks etc. Steel, now that is the question you should be asking;)
  9. 1st initiation right for home maintenance... put finger in disc rotor and spin, lol For those with less common sense, do not do it, its a joke, but happens to best of us (sometimes more than once, haha)
  10. a bmx, not every one wants to be XC
  11. Too rule them all http://fcdn.mtbr.com/attachments/nicolai/825639d1377087452-nicolai-2014-product-range-argon-am.jpg
  12. Smells like time for a upgrade haha. R865 is halfway to a decent set of Discbrakes. But think that could be fixed by someone who has that tool(dont think bicycle shops carry those tools), at least wort a try.
  13. Sacrilege!! Hopes without braided hoses should be classified as illegal. Like putting TSW mags on your Lamborghini, haha
  14. Hopes are the best... 3 pages in and already looks like a bike porn thread, lol
  15. Been doing some research and found few other options. Does anyone have experience buying from China and the east? even better know of some shops, or know the ones I linked. Mind set on 24", and in the eastern shops they have some sweet deals, but when it comes to that side of the world, I have no experience. These guys seems to get decent ratings: http://topgears.ecrater.com/c/897344/complete-bikes The other: http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/CZAR-ECHO-2012-model-24-street-bike-in-stocks/906998_890692630.html 2 bikes which looks pretty sweet http://i00.i.aliimg.com/wsphoto/v0/640789812_2/2012-new-model-ECHO-czar-24-T1-Complete-street-Bike.jpg http://s.ecrater.com/stores/125221/5097db320cd80_125221b.jpg
Haha. Gelukkig was ek stadiger, want weet da dalk bome ini pad (van houtkappers)
  17. Ja nee daai jumps was wreed, haha.. maar darm het ons niemand se lines op gebreek, mag dalk wel paar stappers unhappy gemaak het. Ma nou eers die felling uitwag voor mens iets ini berg aan pak.
  18. LOL, guess you have no idea who I am. Ive been riding/building in Eden the last 15years, know that place like the back of my hand... Half the trails there have had my hand in it.
As jy so graag wil bou, kontak my. Hoop hierdie boodskap beryk jou cyka (russies).
  20. Jip similar, he's been on those Norco's forever, but im not the biggest Norco fan, haha. going to have look at those voodoo's. still have time to look round to around Jan.
  21. Just another question, for the front chainring, would I use the smallring (inner ring) chainring and put the bashguard on the outer ring bolts? Using either a saint or SlX crank, but think my saint crank is a single chainring crank.
  22. Going to build myself a street bike again, but not looking for chromo/steel DJ type build, but rather something lighter. Thinking of a inspired element frame from tartybikes, finished off spares I still have laying around. Also thinking of popping a RS Revelation in-front, with adjustable travel to 115mm Are there other shops which sells similar type bikes? Should not be full on trials, as I still like to have a seatpost http://www.biketrial.si/shop/images/Inspired_element_24_2012_05.jpg similar to this is my idea: http://cdn.observedtrials.net/vb/attachments/f7/29442d1379787039-inspired-hex-front-suspension-photo-1-6-.jpg http://cdn.observedtrials.net/vb/attachments/f9/27997d1369338358-marino-inspired-suspension-gears-dual-disk-image-3295577350.jpg http://cdn.observedtrials.net/vb/attachments/f9/27988d1369265751-marino-inspired-suspension-gears-dual-disk-forumrunner_20130522_193546.jpg
