  1. I must agree, food is great, but also the root of all evil. Unfortunately weight loss does not happen overnight, as much as you sometime want it too. It takes baby steps and a change of lifestyle. It does not help going cold turkey on everything. Just does not work. Try to slowly eliminate one bad thing at a time.
  2. Got the fork from Epic cycles last year. They are also in short supply. The frame is new. Fuming at the moment! Just found out that Momsen have delayed the frame for another month. So yes, only in January. Going to look at my alternative again...disappointing. Depending on what I do, the fork now might be up for grabs.
  3. You guys are really building awesome single speeds! Nice work! My rebuild should be up in the next two weeks. Momsen STR29 Frame, Momsen Carbon Rigid Fork, XT Brakes, ZTR Arch rims with ZTR 3.30 Hubs as well as the rest of the bits and bobs. Will post pics as soon as it is done.
  4. Use Sunscreen!
  5. Dude, it was wet outside, but not that wet! Then again with some of those turns on the route anyone could quite easily have landed in the the river. Maybe you did have a good thing going...
  6. That makes two of us. Made him jump when he took my photo going through the dip. He honestly though I was going to ride him over. Surprise, surprise, the next lap he was in a different location.
  7. Everything makes sense now...
  8. Who is the clown wearing the wetsuit and goggles in one of the photos?
  9. Photographer says that this is all the photos which are good enough to show. Not much, but stunning work.
  10. No! I was riding all night, but I must have missed it. Now that is disappointing.
  11. Q20? Or WD40?
  12. Count me in on the next one!
  13. I was looking at 34-16. With some training you will get up the inclines on the 94.7, may possibly spin out on some of the M1 sections.
  14. Can't seem to find it...
  15. If you are not fit now, with a single speed you soom will be...
  16. What brand of bike are you riding now and what is the brand of bike at which you are looking?
  17. I thought that size doesn't matter... It's what you do with it that counts.
  18. I am also riding a 29er and it does not seem to be problem for me. If you don't want to cut your existing bars, just adjust your shifters, brake levers and grips inwards. It may look weird, but at least it will give you an idea, without the additional cost of cutting for no reason.
  19. I was having spasms in my upper back (trapezius muscle) about a year ago. Narrowed my handlebars too about 550mm. Problem solved.
  20. Not sure if you have shocks on you single speed or ride it ridged? An amazing amount of energy is lost through the shocks. With a ridged, all you effort is going into the pedals.
  21. Just added my hub name above.
  22. Cool. Might pop around. How do I recognize anyone, or will it be obvious?
  23. Is this also going to be a bit of a night ride?
  24. The valve connection for the shock is exactly the same as that for a car tyre. There is a simple tool you get from any shop selling car parts and accessories which can be used to completely remove the valve. Really simple and it may be something you can do as a precaution.
