He told me the guys at FP in Pta know him because he used to work there, but I haven't followed that avenue yet. anyone have direct contact detils or background? DawieO

  3. for under R4000 you would need to look second-hand for those features. I saw a Tacx Flow on the theHub this morning for around R2500(?). That is a great trainer at a very good price.
  4. Works well, but heed the advice re a tight fit. Else you end up launching your bottles into the bushes... The type that fits on the seatpost is MUCH better than the ones that fit behind the seat. Nothing like reaching back for your bottle and grabbing empty space...
  5. and how much are you considering selling for?
  6. Oh my hat! I just made a little oopsie all over myself...! That is pure awesomeness!
  7. yip, spot on Breezer.
  8. And the speedtrap at Sabie Experience regularly clocks high-70's (highest I recall for a piece on the short, straight, steep cement strip road was 78km/h) for the winner of the top-end prize. So perhaps consider all the variables before getting all judgmental.
  9. 6km of steep, relatively good surface, steep downhill dirt road is a bit different from a technical World Cup DH course or a rutted Jeep track.
  10. Jimmy Hardtail at least TRY not to offend almost everyone on the thread at the same time...
  11. from the pics it looks like there is very little mud clearance. Will want to stay away from Barberton with that. Otherwise, nice looking bike that Pearl.
  12. 82km/h down Breedts. Not singletrack and not particulary sweet but there you have it. Was fun seeing the expressions on the motorbikers' faces as I came flying by. And once the adrenaline wore off, the realisation of exactly how stupid that was settled in...

  14. add a Wahoo case for your iPhone and you'll get all the other metrics also, HR, Cadence, Power if you have a power meter...
  15. ...and the swimcaps are compulsory from a visibility point of view, nothing to do with comfort.
  16. "There is a Ironman distance race in Cape Town later this year.....i want to see how many people that voted NO do that without a wetsuit." The survey asks whether they should be legalised for ALL races, not whether they should be BANNED for all races.
  17. Hope he finished the design for that mythical full-sus 29'er...
  18. Royal Mail is their free shipping. I am REALLY concerned about my R3500 order which can't be tracked because it isn't a courier service...
  19. This one is of the Silver Falcons - Pilatus PC7's
  20. Johan Bornman has done mine a couple of times. www.yellowsaddle.co.za
  21. not a Zula Is a Zula.
  22. Nah, I'll just ask Burry and Sauser to tell him.
  23. And a hardtail isn't a real mountainbike.
  24. This is where you should look to see a 29'er candidate: IMAGINE ME WITH BIG WHEELS
  25. And there isn't a 29'er Zula on the cards either, something to do with the geometry of the rear suspension making it difficult to accommodate a bigger wheel and maintain the right performance. Don't ask how I know, I would have to kill you.
