  2. Chrissie in 8th overall, geez Louise! She also posted a faster run than Raynard!
  3. Berg & Bush has the opposite approach. Entries open early for those who HAVE NOT done it before. That way it doesn't always have the same old crowd doing it year after year. I am a bit sad cause we did it last year and it is an amazing race, right up there with S2C, but dems da breaks.
  4. I would be all over a Zula 29er in a flash!
  5. bike registry idea posited a bit earlier in this thread already exists: www.nbrza.co.za
  6. "We are proud of the intellectual property rights awarded to our innovative products and we have little tolerance for companies that attempt to trade unfairly on those rights,” http://garmin.blogs.com/pr/2011/03/garmin-announces-patent-litigation-.html
  7. Morewood Zula. Climbs like a goat, light, simple, handles on the singletrack and downhill.
  8. Been using o0ne of these for many years. A fantastic, simple, clever little device!
  9. yip. Thudbuster LT. hated it. felt like I was riding a noodle.
  10. name the time.
  11. To quote Mohammed Ali - "Float like a butterfly..." That section is completely rideable, though challenging. The trick is threefold: Momemtum as stated High cadence Line - To the right for the first 2/3 and then over to the left for the last 1/3.
  12. Only bleak if this includes a guaranteed entry for next year...
  13. I don't understand why this is even a question. Triathlon is meant to be challenging. Next thing we'll be talking about allowing little kites to pull us along on the bike and perhaps only ever running on flat terrain. The only viable reason (imo) to wear a wetsuit is when the water temperature presents the danger of hypothermia.
  14. "...swim like a snake..." is that good or bad?
  15. Whatever happened to ..."& Bicycle FRAME size" ?
  16. Take it easy manne. You will ride yourself into form over the first 3 days anyway. You aren't going to "make up" time lost, rather focus on keeping (getting) healthy and maintain what you have built to date.
  17. Nice hard long loop with some of the bst climbs around. Can braai there and there is also a restaurant. Safe parking. Great place.

  19. Can tell you where those shoes will end up if one of my "friends" does that to me...
  20. hahahaaa! yes indeed...
  21. Would work a lot better if the plates on your car actually match the one on the rack... (geez that pic of the white fortuner with the luggage stacked on the Thule disappeared quickly!)
  22. No it isn't cr@p. Often when the batteries in cadence/HR sensors are a bit old the data goes off. Secondly, how would you propose getting your firmaware onto your device without some sort of connection? As I recall, the 310 can connect either via Ant+, or via a standard Mini-USB cable. I would suspect a firmware upgrade can only be done using the cable because flashing the device would probably install new Ant+ software at the same time. A little bit of reading the instructions goes a long way.
