  1. smileys/smiley4.gif Slowpoke Attention: where is this "little" hill U speak of....I beseech U speak up or hold your peace !!!!!!!! I am in need of knowing and will the distance cover more than 120k's..if so I'm in. "DTsmileys/smiley4.gif" sorry i came from a meeting so I ONLY READ THE POSTINGS A MINUTE AGO !!!!!!
  2. smileys/smiley4.gif It's the most boring thing I have ever come across--------an indoor trainer. I cannot get my head around this thing...U just sit there pedalling/watching telly/sweating like a pig & & & Ok so I include variety on the trainer...I have it so I use it. I went for the TACX make....very good minus a power meter of course..got it brand new for R500..at my LBS. "DTsmileys/smiley4.gif"
  3. smileys/smiley4.gif MMMmmmmmmmm I like this one !!!!! Eishhhhh I just need a mountain bike now !! "DTsmileys/smiley4.gif"
  4. smileys/smiley4.gif One thing about this winter riding...."dressing up"..it gets too much & I feel uncomfortable after 2 hrs on the bike..Slowpoke I'd never have guessed that's you... "DTsmileys/smiley4.gif"

  6. smileys/smiley4.gif Anytime U guys do this ride again count me in.........I want to climb Suikerbosrand a few times this year...Incidentally IanJ I prefer climbing mostly in winter .... dunno why but its always been my preference. 7. smileys/smiley4.gif Slowpoke........this sounds like it was a blast........I want to ride Suikerbosrand sometime soon...Anyone doing this or can give me some direction to it?? "DTsmileys/smiley4.gif"
  8. smileys/smiley4.gif Ewep......read correctly my china.....I referred to you as recently buying a new bike costing mega bucks...AS WHAT THIS THREAD IS ABOUT---JUST ASK BIGH I have ridden once with you which does not give me any right to judge what kind of cyclist you are. Secondly I was not making reference to your weight.....so if U still wanna bliksem me with the old Alpina...OK..if it will make u feel better but you will have to catch me first & I doubt you will....... "DTsmileys/smiley4.gif"
  9. smileys/smiley4.gif Big H some harsh words there mate but looking at it from a buyers/individuals perspective...I get the idea here one only live once so why not...take Ewep for example...he just bought a brand new Specialised which cost him a pretty darn penny.....Agreed that "some" buy for show and can hardly ride the bike to save their lives.....a lighter bike in my opinion is all good and well but it pays no dividents if U WEIGH A TON....NO light bike is gonna make U go faster if U can't ride properly......... "Expensive egoistic trips are a twisted set of values"-Be that as it may "some" will always look for the lightest bike/component to save a few grams here and there finally adding up....Let 'em buy...they live once......lets all just get along & ride our bikes..... "DTsmileys/smiley4.gif"
  10. smileys/smiley4.gif And so we shall.............buy what you like and if u can afford it. smileys/smiley4.gif... "DT"
  11. "Cyclists are really veign creatures who extoll the virtues of last years very good attributes over the equal virtues of this year to motivate new toys. Wake up you fashion besotted average ability yuppies with too much money to spend!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!."smileys/smiley32.gif Very well spoken BigH....I could not have said it better myself even if I tried. Seems like there are more statements to make than actual cycling........Soloist is a good choice........or is it Slowest??? ah anyway u know what I mean !!! "DTsmileys/smiley4.gif"
  12. smileys/smiley4.gif I'll give my left eyeball for a 6kg bike... "DTsmileys/smiley4.gif"

  23. smileys/smiley4.gif Looks like that long list forgot to mention drink loads of water (maybe I missed it)....minimum two litres per day or 8 glasses...it helps with weight maintenance... I have been eating 6 times a day for ages now & it takes getting used to...including snacks in between but nothing after 8pm...just WATER... "DTsmileys/smiley4.gif"
  24. smileys/smiley4.gif It's gonna get too big.....like the Argus. I personally don't like these huge events .... there are some very reckless riders out there... "DTsmileys/smiley4.gif"
