for a Monday morning - got some new Kit -- a full set of Panda Bib Shorts & 2 Jerseys....a pair of new cycling shoes with cleats & an extra bracket for the bike rack to fit the towbar... All Free - (used once) - ex cyclist here at work -- & IT FITS !!!! Lekke ......... "DT"

NO-ONE HAS THE ANSWERS-WHAT WAS SUGGESTED - I TRIED IT - I CRAMPED. DON'T BELIEVE EVERYTHING U HEAR - I also used to cramp at around that time in races - recently 94.7 as in 2 other races I did I used Fithealth Zero Cramp tablets -- never cramped once. Not saying that is the answer or the solution - but I'm sure putting it to the test !!!! P/M me after this Sunday's 200k event & I'll tell U if I cramped or not !!!! DT"

I need to have my bike serviced thoroughly very soon - new tyres / cables and a new chainring --- (old one missing teeth) etc .. I've been looking at alternative Cable Housing (if that's the right term) - I saw some bikes with ribbed housing in silver/gold & black etc.... On pricing the silver set I was quoted R570 .. (teflon coated, apparently) ... I really didn't think it was that expensive .... anyway anyone here willing to offer some advice / where I can get it and maybe U might just know someone or have some U'd like to get off your hands ?????? Hit the tar sliding last Friday with our first Gauteng rain shower - pedestrian ran in front of me as I took the corner - little bike damage & I'm bruised - no skin off fortunately -- Thing is with this is that there was a lot of people around & no - one (not that they must/shud) would actually help you. Like this morning when a cop van pulls in front of me dropping off a fellow fuz literally bringing me & traffic to a standstill --- Gave him crap & banged with my fist hard on the van !! Not sure on the noises but my battery lasted much much longer than 4 months - I recently had it "serviced" at Polar thro' my LBS - replaced batteries / cleaned the strap etc.. for around R160. I suggest if it's only 4 months old take it back -- U still have U'r receipt ?? Sure they'll be accommodating !! "DT"

Out on our ride yesterday morning & around 10am -- we passed a female cyclist standing with a damaged bike & a number plate in her hand -- we went back to see what happened & if she's ok-motorist turned in front of her knocking her over -- front wheel damaged - she dented his car badly she said / got his number plate as it fell off when his front bumper came halfway off as he sped away. She has a number of witnesses and the cops then arrived. Sure she can & must take it much further -- sue his ass !!! she should take as much as she can away from him !! Just not right !!! "DT

I've had some close calls as well - some motorists actually "sympathise" with U when other ass-holes do as they please. I was even thinking of attaching my batton to the cross bar & riding with a steel ball bearing to throw at the moron's car !!! - the lengths we go to / forced to is un necessary !! "DT"
