Such a load of hogwash here - If "any other shop fixed prices" be it the little guy on the corner that lives a middle class life style he should not be treated any less than a criminal - velvet gloves ...methinks not. If their names come out & they fixed prices or was in cahoots with CL/FPC then they should be named/shamed ...... Nothing be it Turnover / cycling being seasonal gives any moron a right to fix prices ... so if I eat brown bread & U eat white bread is Tiger Brands gonna fix prices only on one of these items ??? To say I've bought anything from C/L would be a blatant lie - Yes I've raced before & perhaps supported them in that fashion - Thankfully I've bowed out of the racing fraternity but still enjoy my cycling. As for moron nr. 2 well I've never set foot in his shop & if "any other shop/owner etc." is involved & named I will not support them either. I "NEVER LIKED" an IDT - never liked using it even if it stormed outside - BUT I use it. been off for 2 months after a gr8 training year last year. Now I'm back on the IDT & gnashing my teeth -- the IDT does help must say. "DT"

It is sad to read what happened here - I have learnt that never to even bother asking another cyclist: "where are your lights or helmet" - frankly speaking I really don't care. The road is full of dangers & we should stick together but alas for some that prefer being moronic in attitude & character - good luck. I see a lot of the scum riding expensive / not so expensive mountain bikes & it baffles me "where did this moron get this thing" many times I want to ram him off the road - moer him & take the bike... I know violence begets violence & we cyclists are not "that way inclined" --- BUT how do we take "our own back?" -- do we start "bike-jacking these bastards?", do we ambush them or simply take what's ours ??? Just like the cyclists riding 2 abreast over the Emmarentia Dam bridge this morning - chatting instead of riding single file - cannot be bothered but blatantly ignores traffic. Moron's - & yes I am a cyclist & they make it worse for every one else !!! "DT"

I'm a roadie myself - more often than not I drive past these guys riding 2 abreast on a narrow stretch of road -- my wife has asked me why do they do that - they will get run over --- moron's I say. DT"

I think there r no hard & fast rules to this --- set it as comfortable as what suits U --- like the height of your saddle maybe. e.g - my brake hoods are slightly higher & I'm comfortable with that !!! "DT"

I have a set of Alex Rims R500 training wheels: The rear goes out of true very often which frustrates me - So I can either true it & use it on the Indoor trainer only or cut the Hub Body out, throw the rim away & have a new wheel built (quoted: R600) - or buy a new set of Shimano rims at R1000 (+) (which I am not keen on doing) Advice: Anyone have a spare wheel they want to sell in good condition or what do you suggest I do Groupset: 105 Shimano !!! U think that sucks - we did the Ian Kernick 200 yesterday - all was goin well, ate, drank - we all pulled etc ... then on Kliprivier up to Panorama I could hardly climb -- rode at a Glaciers pace, blood sugar just dropped, I almost walked while the guys waited for me.... after some jelly babies at the top ......... we pushed home fast !!! Tried Finish line's dry - like it but not the wet solution (messes all over), thinking of trying Caltex motor oil .... does that work .....hehehhehe No seriously Finish Line Dry works for me !!! "DT"

I beat 2 guys to a sprint finish once... a lucky draw at Ride for Sight (R1000). & A RACE IN MY DREAMS TOO !!!! "DT"
