  1. Too much of a liability for me personally. If they even suspect you may have a gun your chances of getting away unharmed are probably zero and the bike becomes a distant second and the gun first prize for them. I have to ask myself what are the odds of me needing to use that gun and successfuly using it, versus it being used on me or taken. On the other hand I completely uderstand anyone feeling they need to carry one in this day and age.
  2. Apologies if this is not completely related but I probably don't wash mine as often as I should (no it doesn't stink yet thankfully 😁) but lately it seems to be underreading big time. I gave it a wash the other day and its just as bad, is it dead? Its not even a year old so I'm not impressed.
  3. Do yourself a favour and have a proper setup done, you won't regret it.
  4. My 50c is the upward angle of the seat is forcing you to sit further back on the seat and causing your legs to make contact with the bag. Have you had a proper bike setup done? You might find your setup is more the problem then the saddle bag? Just my 50c anyway.
  5. Sounds like your saddle bag is way too big or too full? Split what you carry between your bag and your pockets. As mentioned by others there are various options for carrying. Unless you're riding the Giro you don't need to worry abut unnecessary drag or bike aesthetics.
  6. This is going to be like the DSTV conundrum, so many 'potential' cheaper alternatives yet in reality so few simple alternatives that have the same offering. I'll stick to Zwift for now, its not cheap but I've tried others and keep going back because its the most complete as far as I'm concerned.
  7. What a start to the Giro!
  8. Personally I can only vouch for the Neo 2T which has been an absolute pleasure for me for over a year. Its like choosing between a Mercedes and a BMW though. Theres a lot of tests and comparisons on both, check Rainmaker DC but I don't believe you can go wrong with either.
  9. Also Titan, absolutely no regrets with mine.
  10. Don't. There are no cheap dual suspensions, what you save on the bike you pay for on repairs. Been there, done that. Rather wait or buy a hardtail.
  11. You can't control what people will offer, you can only control what you'll accept. Pick your battles.
  12. I bought my Titan because value for money wise they couldn't be beaten and their service is outstanding.
  13. Just realised I've been a member here for 18 years. About time I scam someone! 😂 In all seriousness just use Bikehub Pay. Especially if they're in a different town.
  14. Interested to hear peoples experience with support regarding Tacx trainers. I bought a Tcx Neo 2T a while ago and called their support centre to get advice with regards to changing the freehub for Campag and was quite surprised at the poor assistance and arrogant attitude, never mind. Recently I had trouble with the trainer not changing resistance so I decided to get in touch via the Garmin site for support. Received an email saying somene would get back to me. Over a week later and after having sorted out the problem myself, not a word. This is quite concerning considering the price of these trainers. I'm hoping I just had an unlucky experience and their support isn't really this pathetic? The trainer itself is generally fantastic so it would be a pity for the product to be let down by such useless local support.
  15. Yellow trail is the longest, its about 34 km with 450 m of climbing according to my Garmin. There are two shorter trails if you want to add distance though. This was in January, not sure if anything has changed since then.
  16. Thats a beaut! Congrats!

  18. All I'm getting from this is people are prepared to trade in cars but not bicycles.
  19. Same principle as webuycars. Sell quickly at a low price. Convenience comes at a price I guess. Not for me thanks.
  20. AFAIK CPA is relevant here and OP could get a refund. I must say I'm surprised people being so understanding about buying a bike advertised with one spec and being sold with another, even if it is equivalent quality? Unless it says in the ad that specs can vary, this is not on as as far as I'm concerned. Regardless of whether its a good buy or not, or cheap or whatever. They advertised as such and should deliver. "Under the CPA, consumers have the right to a refund when they purchase goods or services that are defective or not of good quality. They also have the right to a refund when the goods or services were not delivered as promised or within a reasonable time frame. " Retailers can't just invent their own returns and exchange policies.
  21. They're trying to corner everyone into signing up for their banking. Slowly but surely all the benefits are becoming redundant if you don't have it.
  22. Awesome, I'll check it out - thanks!
  23. I can only help you with the long route. Emperors_Classic_.gpx
  24. Didn't enjoy it at all, only did the half marathon. I don't understand people constantly pushing bikes uphill or over the slightest obstacle. I'm not that technically proficient but if you can't ride a bike up the slightest incline then you should be training more before you attempt even these fun rides. 80% singletrack with stopping before most uphills. The seeding for MTB rides seems to be even worse than road. I won't be doing another one of these. There did seem to be water though. maybe they ran out later because it was ridiculously hot.
