  1. I use my Weber for roasting mutton roasts and chickens on the rotisserie, or to do a smoked fillet, which is amazing. The weber gives the meat a lekker smoky flavour, so much better than the oven.

  9. MY BIKES TAKEN ME NOWHERE. This bloody machine has been keeping me busy 9 hours a day, so I've been finished by the end of the day, and I had to rest over the weekend, as my legs were klaar. On a positive note, I dropped 5kg last week and my leg strength has increased. Oh well, 2 more weeks to go. Then I'll have enough timber to repair building and roofs around the farm. And I should be lighter and stronger on the bike???? Sent from my SM-G930F using Tapatalk
  10. Geez keen Fanie, thought the little one would keep you busy ???????? I'm deffo in
  11. The reservoir is dry, my herdsman never pumped, otherwise not so bad
  12. I took this photo on Monday, a vervet must have climbed into the reservoir and couldn't get out. I've put an iron pipe in there now
  13. Did a chilled ride from Nice'na (my daughter wanted to know how to spell it, so I told her Nice'na) to Garden Route Trail Park on Sat, and when I got there found that the GR300 was happening, so it was on and off the bike all the way around. It was lekker cheering the okes on as I sat on my ass in the forest resting. No pictures were taken, as I was having so much fun. I wish we had rides like this at home,. Got into a bit of *** pumping the trail. When I got back, to the clubhouse, I phoned my wife to fetch me as I wasn't riding back to Knysna in 36deg, with a headwind.
  14. Sorry I missed this one, been wanting to ride that side for some time
  15. I'd love that belt on a single-speed, very cool
  16. Oh come on, we have a huge mtb community in East London, why, oh why are we being bypassed once again. I'm tired of our community being ignored. Movies, demo days, and so on.
  17. Tomtom Spark 3, I need a basic HR monitor and tracker, but I hate chest straps, so I picked this up a few weeks ago. I'm impressed, it performs flawlessly. And also the hemut , was on sale at Chainreaction. I've got a pinhead, so helmets are usually way too big for me, even small sizes (I buy kids sunnies), but these fit lekker

  21. After a few years of neglect , my Brooks B17 Imperial Standard was looking a bit worse for wear, and the rivets were rusting off, so the saddle was pulling forward. Time for some care and improvements. I phoned the Brooks Agents in SA, Bike and Saddle in Cape Town, and spoke to Jaco about getting copper rivets, and some Proofride too. Two days later a parcel arrived with the rivets, and after watching a few Youtube videos on how to rivet copper rivets to leather, I set about repairing my saddle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=geneD2Xxy5c https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_wXeWzO7y0o https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=NZtRrxsxxao I first used a drill (4.5mm) to remove the rivets, and after punching the rivets out with a small punch. I scrubbed the underside and top of the saddle with saddle soap, to remove 7 years of gunk that had accumulated around the metal bits of the saddle. After it had dried the saddle got given a goodly layer of proofride on the underside and a thin layer on the top. The next step was to rivet the saddle to the nose piece, First I tried using the method in the video, but it didn't seem to work for me. I placed the saddle with the rivet head down, and whacked the back of the rivet with a concave punch. Once the rivet had mushroomed, I turned it over, and with the punch in the vice, whacked the rivet head to shape it to the saddle, with no sharp edges. The result, a much improved looking saddle Before polishing After polishing and mounted to the steel beast
  22. Wavecrest Hotel on the top pic, great Wild Coast hospitality and a great spot for halfway coffee. We'll be cycling past there soon on the way to The Haven.
  23. Can anyone tell me what this means Is it detained, or has it been released, I've never seen this on my parcels before
