  1. Don't sell that without talking to me....
  2. I have a Siemens b2c machine which the soon to be ex is taking away soon - 20 000 0dd cups so far - they can be serviced at Bosch/Siemens in Midrand - I would not worry about swapping it out for a Jura. Usually I recommend setting it as hot as possible and the grind as fine as possible as a start point - the trick is to find a good quality fresh roasted coffee that is NOT oily (makes a mess inside a SA machine) and go from there.
  3. No - you didnt miss it- its not there - she will tell her own story when she is back on-line properly so to speak.
  4. She is home and being slowly weaned off some of the meds and hopefully she will be less doped after that - blood tests pretty close to normal ranges and improving, but she did take a fall in the bathroom and destroyed enough to give herself some good bruises - but nothing too serious - except for the balance issue which led to the fall. She is in good spirits mostly - very pleased with Karmi's progress.
  5. Me neither - dont usually have static issues on my mazzers - on occasion during winter with older beans which the wet fingers sort.
  6. You can try wetting your fingers a bit and rolling them around in the coffee beans in the hopper - seems to reduce static a bit - but you don't want wet beans - just a tiny bit of damp to kill the static charge. Wet beans are worse than static by far....
  7. A skills lesson and more aggressive tires.... I have some American football lightweight pads that are ok - cover ribs and shoulders with a thin pad - check on Amazon.com - you can buy similar from motorcycle shops in SA Edit - this is what I have - pretty comfortable - and warmer than a cycling shirt, but cooler than real protection - fine for shuttling and DH - never tried it on an XC ride. https://www.amazon.com/Combat-Hyperstrong-Fitted-Padded-Football/dp/B011DD0GT2/ref=sr_1_8?ie=UTF8&qid=1541412777&sr=8-8&keywords=football+protective+shirt
  8. Can you get in through the roof? tiles and corrugated iron are quite easy to open from the top.

    RIFLE

Recognized by who exactly as a better all round caliber? It is a military round - designed to cause injury and not death - so your military logistics gets overloaded with patients requiring care. It is not the official caliber of either the FBI or the CIA any more for 1 specific reason - it's not very effective at stopping bad guys compared to other calibers - and they both have gone bigger - .40 and 10mm auto. 10mm auto's only disadvantage is that it's usually a big weapon and not very concealable. US police forces are also moving away from 9mm - with ,40 being the current favorite for duty weapons.

Or the ditch on the outside of the corner....
  11. Not any more.... just german toys now.... and bicycles.... and motorbikes...
  12. Yes. Karmi is eating a little better and is looking for her dogs. Waiting till she is eating better and then they will do a moving xray to see if she has reflux when eating.
  13. You should get it fixed first... but it's not impossible it will cost you more to fix than you will get on sale - my gut feel is that in good working and cosmetic condition it would sell for 4 - 7k
  14. I trained my soon to be ex wife not to drink sugar - so now she drinks xylitol instead... and I want to see you get your wife to agree to use old cups.....
  15. They are nice, but is someone drinks sugar/xylitol in the family, then the insides mark up from stirring - looks terrible on mine.
  16. Against Medical Advice.
  17. Todays news: Karmi - I will just leave this here. 2Bliss - currently being discharged from ICU - she is not going back to medical/surgical wards (probably AMA - but she has her reasons...) and will continue to be treated at home.
  18. Todays news - taken me all day to post unfortunately. Karmi - off the vent and breathing room air. Liver and spleen swelling reduced - swelling appears to be retained fluid only. Mom allowed to hold Karmi again - and for sure that will help Karmi and her parents a lot. So really good news but keep up doing what you are doing. 2bliss - still doped up but had no incidents in the last 24 hours so that is positive.
  19. Consider it a learning experience - make some plans with friends for the afternoon and evening - and the weekend - sitting around will not be good for you. But the worst is anticipating it - reality never quite matches up. Good luck!
  20. Karmi - no news - waiting for scan results 2Bliss - still in ICU - no progress Hopefully more and better news tomorrow.

  22. Today's update: Karmi's condition is much the same and slightly improved as yesterday - still on the ventilator but plans are afoot to change her to a cpap machine post ct scan of her liver and spleen for a few days at least. She is holding down nutrition, but has a small bedsore that is resolving and she is watching tv from time to time. Still no diagnosis that I am aware of. As to 2Bliss - no further news at all.
  23. I think they are just trying to stay afloat....
  24. Todays updates - vaguely positive for a change: Karmi - still no diagnosis - she is feeding much better and seems to be holding it down. O2 sats are in the normal range but she is still on the vent. She is smiling and interacting a little with her parents. 2Bliss - still in ICU but responding somewhat better to new meds. Keep doing what you need to do to help them all - still a long road ahead.
