  1. Gecko Cycles, Fred Coleske, not bad at all, specially on the mtb side. They listen and Fred is always available to speak in person to you.
  2. Oh, and so by the way, I would like to see this Lemmer in charge of PPA and not involved with CSA. HE IS THE ONLY GUY IN THIS COUNTRY WHO CAN ORGINIZE A 3 DAY BOLAND TOUR WITHIN 2 WEEKS. The PPA and CSA could not re- orginise a "Giro" in one year. Only after a lot of moans and groans, David Bellairs contacted a friend.
  3. EISH !!! After the debacle two weeks ago, the flamed lemmer got PPA around a table and they all understand the issues. Now Mark, 2 weeks later you want to see ""positive and tangible results"". I think, and please correct me, I only knows about ONE FUNRIDE after the meeting. So, My my question to Mark: What do you think should be a measurable improvement after one funride. If i read your response, I think you are the one with ulterior motives. Please answer and prove me wrong and I will apologise to you.
  4. Paul, dont want to go in detail. The seller used the post office, the post office used some courier, when the parcel was delivered to the reception (security guys) of my co., I only got a box, not sealed in plastic bag, box was taped with post office duck tape. After months, and lot of pressure I eventually got my money back. As said before, I will never ever buy from a out of town hub seller. I'm not going into a discussion on this one, most of the hubbers knows this story very well.
  5. I can only go for option 3. Will never buy from a out of town hubber again, unless I knows him personally. I got old You's and pool manuals instead of a Tag Heuer watch.
  6. Knippie, I'll try to join, (make sure you have coffee), but'if something happened, can we discuss to also request PPA if we can have a MTB start group in the funrides as well as a "mtb road league catagory"". Or will that clash with the off-road league?
  7. I'm not clued up on nutrition, and think about using one of these for the Epic. What do I look at when comparing this 2? USN Epic Pro All in One USN?s Epic Pro All-in-One has been scientifically and precisely formulated as an elite post-training/ event recovery drink and/or comprehensive energy amino acid and electrolyte replacement drink to be used during long periods of intense physical activity such as multi-day sports events, Ironman events, marathons etc. http://www.usn.co.za/USNProducts/Product_Page_Endurance-Epic-Pro-All-in-One.asp against the Hammer PERPETUEM : THE FUEL FOR EXTREME ENDURANCE http://www.hammernutrition.com/products/perpetuem.pp.html?navcat=fuels-energy-drinks
  8. old brown sherry. dis die coke wat vet maak Faan.
  9. yes. its how it works
  10. Mark the tire on the side with a pen, roll it in a straight line, mark the distance (when the mark tough the ground again) take a measure tool and measure the distance (in mm) I think the 23 is 2096 / or 2069, cant remember.popeye2010-01-29 08:41:58
  11. What happened to those Pinarello's that was posted, I think they all went, complete bikes, for R20,000? It was the FP 4:13 s ?
  12. Take a tube, put it in a condom, and put it were I got mine, than forget about it. The only thing you need when disaster struck, is a pump. Remove the tubeless valve from your rim, be careful that you dint loose the rubber o-ring, and put a tube in as on a normal rim. You can get the plugs (the strings that looks like a shoe lace) for about R50 for 6 strings and the gadget that put it through the tire (that kit cost about R100)
  13. Let be logic on this? There is no shammy in the world that last only 3 rides . So, any decent short should be ok. This means you need 2 but have to wash every second day. CW Cycles sells: First Accent = R399 elk Cape Storm = R520 elk I?m buying F/A for the Epic, no need for Assos, I don?t wane see the tears in your eyes when you go down on the first day in a R2000+ assos and a nice hole sits on the bum area. They pain? Is it your shorts or the shammy? How old id it? Do u use melkroom on your bum? Man, I don?t think this have to do with the shorts. Ok, follow this advice: Buy a bottle of spiritus and every night take some cotton and apply to the sit area on you back side. Within 2 months that skin is as tough as old veldskoene and you can do the pioneer in a running short. (I promise you)
  14. I think if we had a team that could perform semi-well, there will be more of a buzz. For me, I love english football, specially when Chelsea is winning, south african football is poor, no spectator value and amateurish. I'm not negative about it, I'm just questioning the money they spend on the staduims, and when you look around you people is "krepeer van armoede"" This goverments priorities is screwed up, and that makes me negative !
  15. I got 3 pairs of oakleys with suscription lenses. Yhe issues in getting lenses in is the curve of the frame and the measurement of your eye sight. the Higher, the thicker the lens, the more difficult to fit Its not recommended the Dar'cs as the frame is only the top part, and not a round shape were the lens is more solid fitted. I'm getting new lenses in a frame this afternoon, its a 40% tint and cost R1400 FOR THE LENSES ONLY (and fitted in the Oackly Minutes.
  16. use a condom with powder in it, you can give it a turn on the end , you can pull a condom about 6 times over before it get a litle knot at the end to keep it dry and dirt free
