My Fenix 5X Plus gives me O2 and about 2 weeks of battery life (I use an edge for cycling so the watch isn’t used for exercise much)

Thanks, I like the aesthetics of my Fenix with red strap, but yeah I think the Apple might take it there. What do you use for shopping lists? At the moment we use a shared apple note but there’s apparently no apple notes app for watch. It seems Tesco have removed Apple Pay as an option here so that’s not going to work [emoji1] Painful as having a phone was a handy backup for when I forgot my wallet at home.

I watched a few videos on the 6, and after a while I realised that there probably aren’t many apps for it that I’d actually use. I wouldn’t use it for mail, calls or calendar, and I use Apple Notes a lot and there is no watch version for that. What do you use your Apple Watch for?

Same here. Our kids don’t get to play or watch a lot of what other kids are playing and watching here, they also don’t have phones. We know of kids of 6 years olds here with tic tok accounts and posting videos. The school had to intervene in an issue on a class WhatsApp group. Some 7yr olds playing games with much violence and gore. One other kid we know (7yrs old) eats ice cream as meals with sweets as snacks while both her parents are at work and she has no adult supervision.

Parents should also parent occasionally.

Thanks Not quite a roll model as a hooman bean, but my son recently discovered Top Gear and it’s really sparked an interest in cars and engineering with him which is great. The mix of information and silliness appeals to him [emoji1]

No doubt that the arts play a significant role in society, but it does bother me when artists etc stray well and truly out of their lane, and I do wish great minds were appreciated on matters of their expertise rather than someone who is cool. I hope I’m able to teach my children to select their roll models and influencers for each aspect of their lives more selectively than some do.
