  1. Dude. I know it's Friday and all, but... You're missing the point. They couldn't go smaller, so they went bigger and achieved the same result. Now you can up your chairing size by 20% and have the same climbing gear (30t to 36t) and have a far higher top end for the flat sections. For me, that's the benefit. Not going for the 10-50 and keeping the same size ring... that would truly be silly.
  2. Second the giant flats though. Cheap and hard wearing.
  3. These are kaaaaak. Throw them in the bin. You need something with proper pins.
  4. Not italics. Comic sans. And at the top where it says "font" on the full desktop version
  5. But again... not necessarily just for XC. I'd love the range in parts, as I find in fast sections of trail my 30t spins out juuuust a bit too fast. But I need the 30/42 for long slogs. So for me a 36 10-50 would be utterly brilliant Edit: in this case XC = XCO. XCM is a different matter entirely
  6. Missing the part where the 50t allows you to go up at the front by 20% and thereby gain you more top end. So instead of running a 30t 10-42 you can run a 36t 10-50. It's not about the granny...
  7. Looks like they stuffed up the USD/EUR price... But holy heck... That looks good.
  8. LOL. Apologising for potentially offending someone. Pfft. Only person who decides if I am offended is me, and then it's all as a result of how I perceive the statement. I wish people stopped apologising for "offending someone" when it's not their choice as to whether the offended decides to be offended or not. You cannot give offence. you can only take it. /Rant off/ No, not offended in the slightest, mate. Just thought you missed the sarcasm. And for the love of Zoltan, please use comic sans!!!
  9. Correction - 2 blacks. A line and Revised. And yes, Bloemendaler resembles Nagasaki in the 40s. Blown Out.
  10. It is Dave Grohl. Classic SniffPetrol.
  11. yeah. But - they had a poll recently, and the large majority of respondents wanted more technical trail. So Patrick has license to build it. And build it he shall. They're putting more trails in this year as well. Well worth the membership fees.
  12. there's one drop. And it's not even a drop. And then the river crossing that got lawyered.
  13. on the other side of the road, where the Bloemendaler trail is? AFAIK there's a petition from Patrick to open up a new section there that cuts from the bottom of Bloemendaler and links up to the trail down, so you don't have to slog aaaaaallll the way back up again to get to the carpark. Would be awesome. BTW - G Spot. Went back there again after a while, and just after the road gap, in the middle of the first section I thought "this feels a bit strange, I don't remember this being here..." when encountering the new mini-whoops. Went in there at normal speed and had to make rapid changes to how I rode it!!
  14. LOL!!! Good for XC training, bro. Nice little loop if you're in to sufferage. Good berm training as well.
