  1. Case in point... pick a side and be a d1ck about it.
  2. If I remember correctly, I read a tech piece a few years ago where the writer's hypothesis was that anything slacker than a 61 or 62 degree head angle would result in more fore-and-aft movement on the fork than actual suspension movement. I personally think that the grade of the descent will have a role to play in that, but I also wouldn't want to ride that bike on flat-ish trails for that reason (among others) Will be interesting to see, though!!
  3. as with all things, it's a case of confirmation bias, mostly. Both SRAM and Shimano produce some fantastic kit, and sometimes they produce a few lemons. Shimano with their ServoWave brakes giving a floating bite point, SRAM with the Guide piston retraction issue and the explody NX (fixed with a bit of Loctite) Point it, it's pointless saying one is better than the other overall. It's without question that Shimano owns the "budget" price point, thanks to the utterly fantastic performance of their Deore & SLX level components, both of which are equal to or below the price of NX. At the top end, though, I think SRAM has the edge with the AXS side of things which is a neater solution than the wired DI2 (in my opinion) I'd still run SRAM brakes over Shimano, to be honest, as I prefer the modulation of the SRAM goodies over the instabite of the Shimano brakesets (Zee is an exclusion in this regard) Otherwise, as Droo has pointed out, Coolheat makes it more difficult for the smaller players in the market to stock Shimano, so there's a point of contention, there. Otherwise, run what you want.
  4. Those bits of road don't need a permit. He's referring to signal Hill, tafelberg road and the climbs from camps bay to the Nek.
  5. Freedom of expression isn't being curtailed though, and freedom of expression is also subject to its own limitations in terms of you being responsible for what you say, and accepting that others are fully within their rights to call you out on speech that isn't ayoba. Being a forum, they're fully within their rights to curtail opinions and posts should they be damaging to their brand or other people. That isn't considered to be censorship. It's only government legislation that can limit one's "freedom" of expression.
  6. Because letting that potential negativity affect you / prevent you from posting what you want to post is not a lekker way to live life. People should be able to post pics of themselves without fear of *** like that. That some people do behave badly is not a reason not to do it. It's also VERY much like victim blaming.... "they know they'll get that response, so why do they do x / y / z". The solution? Just behave properly.
  7. The problem lies in the responses to those posts / pictures. There's no blame that can be apportioned to the poster of those pics. The blame for the response lies squarely at the feet of those who respond in a sinister / sexist / crass / offensive manner. One should not have to worry about creepers sliding into DM's or commenting on their pics in a lewd / unsavoury manner, or calling them a "dog". As for why one would want to. Why the hell not? It's up to the person themselves to decide what to post. They cannot be held responsible for the reaction that a few socially inept people have when they see pics. Regardless of the state of dress. As for why people post pics of themselves online... for some it's a revenue stream, for others it's a contractual obligation (in terms of sponsor airtime etc) for others it's a way to receive positive affirmation. There are other reasons as well, but no reason warrants a response such as the one highlighted.
  8. But, the whole goal of the film was to get more people to try veganism. That's not a bad thing, and it's worked.
  9. Just note that there was exceptionally bad "science" in this piece. The move to more plant based food sources is great, don't get me wrong. But the film itself is riddled with false conjecture, cherry picked "fact" and loads of skewed opinion.
  10. Yessssss I generally make my own, and hand out / sell to mates just to make back the production cost. I use primarily red habanero peppers, but would love to try using reapers in future sauces. And agree with WP. Cannot just be hot or piled with extract (which gives that crap aftertaste) It must be full of flavour.
  11. That's not difficult though, to be fair
  12. Well, here I goes again. The latter part of 2019 was horrid in terms of exercise, illness and stress. I managed to hit my mid term goal of 95 in June or so, and then the wheels came off. Properly. I’m now back at 101, have a lot of ground to make up, and I only have myself to blame. The goal is 90. For now. A proper diet and exercise plan has been implemented. Good luck to all!
  13. Adding to this, this is definitely not the correct technique for that hold, and a broken arm / popped shoulder would be the only possible result of it being performed that badly.
  14. Well, one of my goals for 2019 was realised. Reducing post count year on year. Far lower this year compared to last ones.
  15. The editing in the initial scenes... ????‍♂️????‍♂️????‍♂️ No flow and a standard "last ditch" Star-Wars recipe for success. Rey was overdone, in an attempt to make her more relatable, imo. A solid meh. Beautiful visuals, though. And that little dude fixing 3po. ????
  16. .he is. Despite our insistence. He also used to run exo casings, which for his 100kg TIMMEH smash isn't so lekker
  17. His name is Tim. We call him TIMMEH for a reason. Tim Tim TIMMEH!!!
