Nothing wrong with Novatec hubs at all. They make hubs / bearings for a lot of other manufacturers. Like the Suntour of the hub market - high quality, low price.

Adding to the above - if a track is "too technical" and yet others that you are competing against find no problem with it, you're either not good enough and need to practice / skill up, or need to man up and take the b line.
