Syntace is a version of a 12mm through axle. Just a different fastening standard AFAIK. Go for 12mm TA. It may be either 135mm wide or 142mm wide, but Both are interchangeable through swapping adapters on the hubs.

If you are in the outside lane of a circle, the accepted rule is that you are taking the first exit to the left. Any other exit and you MUST (as a road user and vehicle) use the inside lane and use it as you would while in the car. You cannot blame another road user for your inappropriate use of the circle. As was said before - own the road. If you were in the outside lane, road users would reasonably assume that you are taking the first exit. If another road user carried on straight when I was observing the proper use of a circle, I would vloek him solid for being a Douche and not observing law of the road. Still, dude. Even a brand new wheelset still needs to be dished correctly more often than not. Yet another reason to take them to a reputable wheel builder. But dude, you NEED to go back and demand rectification of the problem. Cos it is a problem.

No that is NOT common practice! Your lbs needs to be taken to task. The front wheel should be dished according to the hub it has. Disc hub = dished differently and it must line up with the centre of the fork crown. To FILE THE FORK DROPOUT is very very very bad form. They owe you a very good explanation and possibly a new sett of fork lowers
