  1. Nah. Just allergic to hills that go in the upwards direction
  2. any of Mamba / Boulders / Boomslang (ruins) and now My Roots. My Roots lends itself to sessioning rather nicely, but it doesn't have the variety that Mamba has. Boulders is also cool, but a bit longer to be able to session properly. For a proper sessioning, I'd do Mamba into Boomslang. Problem there is that you have that trek all the way to the top of Mamba again, and that's quite a few vertical metres. If you're feeling a bit out of breath, repeats of Mamba are the best. It has everything - berms, dropoffs, roots, jumps, rock gardens etc. And it's really easy to get back to the top again.
  3. My Revelation fork (cost just R 500 after factoring in the sale of my Reba) and the super duper expensive 750mm bar / 40mm stem combo at R 450 for the pair. Those, and the xx bra kes from The V enabled me to steer, jump and control so much better, as well as stop BEFORE the big ass rock, and not 10m fter it when I'm on my gat waiting for a stretcher. Oh... Also my spank subrosas, and my dh frame for just 2k. All my cycling purchases have been good value, come to think of it.
  4. And to make it more amazing, the latest was after a sabbatical of 5 years. He was too big for the boat. Until he changed his diet to follow that of TN's
  5. Jees, I wouldn't want that little chip on the RHS pic to stay there, just floating around!
  6. Patently false. High performance endurance athletes on the Ketogenic diet. A number of SA swimmers, Bruce Fordyce (hardly low performance) Oscar Chalupsky (often doing races over 4 to 5 hours at very high intensity) and so on. Don't write it off just because the mainstream media doesn't want you to think that it would be good for athletes...
  7. which have nothing to do with your so called advice, and everything to do with the need for a comedic outlet.
  8. You're a bit late, Nik - but on the right track! Have a look at his last post!
  9. Hmmm... difficult, that one... If I were to go for a tin-top for a fun car, I'd be hard pressed to ignore the 135.
  10. ROFL. Nah. No swift thanks. Too small for the fandamily.
  11. I'm struggling to think of a bigger waste of money that this here motor. Me: Ariel Atom 2 for the fun car Scooby Forester XT for the family wagon
  12. Those are some pretty big ancillary stabilizers on the tail there, Gummi...
  13. and the prize for the most pointless opening post ever goes to...
  14. I'm still using a piss-pot, but the options on other styles are endless... 661 Recon Fox Flux Bell Sequence / Variant / Super (coming next year) URGE Enduromatic Basically whichever takes your fancy...
  15. Go for the 6er. The parts spec on it is waaay better, and will more than make up for any perceived benefit of the bigger wheels.
  16. Yeah. Using mine now, actually. The foam covering the speakers was removed by means of dog. Otherwise, perfect condition
  17. Ah. In that case, I agree (unless we're talking about those crazy Iranians at Infected Mushroom) But that's easily fixed by fiddling with the equalizer settings. They're still tight and good for the price that you pay. I think I paid GBP25 for them?
  18. N, I'd still rather get the Reba. Far more plush than the SID. And cheeper as well...
  19. Why are they the wrong size? Did you go for 2.4's?
