  1. Yeah, I know what you mean... We received a wedding invite that had a pic that my wife took as the photo on the invite. It was originally a b/w photo, and it looks as if the reds & blues had been increased to give, what I can only think, was what the printer wanted to see. Totally ruined the photo. I think the printer decided to see if he could "bring out" the colours, or to convert it to a sepia type of pallette or something. The couple knows that we have the RAW images, and have asked if they could have colour / b&w versions of other prints as well. And if they wanted a "warmer" photo, they would have asked.
  2. Awesome, dude. Just a bit of advice - don't be a hero on the painkillers thing. They serve a very big purpose, and can in fact help recovery in the long term. Just perhaps wean yourself off rather than stopping altogether. Yes, no painkillers mean that you will know every little thing that goes on, but at times that can be more traumatic (from a psychological sense) than anything else.
  3. Yep. Also the different ways of weaving carbon, and different lay-up techniques have a huge impact on how much material you need.to use to ensure a strong component. Also, the resin tech and curing processes have improved markedly over the years.
  4. Been a long day... My mind was there far before i finished reading... Clearly living in the gutter...
  5. Sweet! Still, the forced removal of legitimate signs & barriers is a concern...
  6. Hey Nick, not as simple as that. But if u read Covie's posted e-mail response, you'll see that there is some movement on it. As for the q, I'll see what I can find out.
  7. Afaik that was (and is) a polar thing... I know when I had my polar that it paired with the treadmill / stepper / stationary bike etc. RF as opposed to garmins ANT+
  8. Like me? ROFL. Yeah. Anyway... I'd love a revelation. Would make things so much clearer...
  9. Yeah. I get that. I think that when it was initially put together, GARMIN weren't a big enough player in the market (personal fitness GPS's) to warrant a relationship, and because of that POLAR managed an exclusivity agreement based on the fact that they were the single biggest player at that time. Having said that, who's to know what the current status of the contracts are?
  10. Yeah, Covie - Id like that as well. I have a Garmin myself, and would like the complete usability of the fitness portion of Vitality, but tbh it's not an issue to me. I just track it online and don't worry about the points not accruing, rather just doing the fitness assessments each year. But yes, the clarity from Garmin is good (although it's still as clear as the Thames at the moment)
  11. Yep yep. Seems like you and Clint need to find a deserted boardroom now as well...
  12. ROFL. Yeah. Was just setting the record straight, Fanie... And the response Covie got from Garmin is great...
  13. Dogs are not Ruminants. Plant-based food eating animals are. Things like cows, horses, deer etc. As for the blame shift, the guys could just not throw them on the floor all the time. And then recycle them when they get home. Don't blame the company itself for the problem, when it has nothing to do with it.
  14. Have a look at the sidewall of your tire. The size is normally embossed on there. If it's a road bike, normally it's either 700*23c or 700*25c.
  15. ROFL. Yes, Covie... it can be used as an XC fork given the right settings. But does it make it an XC fork? No. It makes it a fork which some people are using in cross country applications. It may be simple semantics, but it's like adapting a Z3 to be an off-roader. Possible, but not what it was designed to be doing. It's been adapted to do somethig which it was not originally designed to do. That's why the REBA offers 80-120 out the box, and the Revelation 110 - 160. Yes, you can space the revelation down. But it's still an adaptation.
  16. Maybe it is the fault of the ROX. I mean, what angle is he hitting them at? Is he lifting the front on approach, or just slamming into them?
  17. No. Just no. You will not tarnish the good reputation of my helmet like that. Oh, god. I just did it myself, didn't I...
