  1. My wife and I were also just a bit back of that crash. We now stay out of those tight starts as she broke her collarbone at the beginning of the year at a USN race. Unless you're gonna be winning it, it's just not worth it to get in that situation. I feel sorry for Teresa. At least it's the end of the season.
  2. Was that the crash right in the beginning?
  3. 24hour it will have to be. My gas tank is too empty to suffer through Cradle quest. It's been a long year...
  4. Hi jcza. I also had a look around for the little pool, but didnt see you guys. Gotta say, it wasn't easy as it felt like i was bleeding from the eyeballs! Massive sense of humour failure in that Gerotek section. I'll pm you before 24hr, so we dont miss each other again.
  5. I hate Gerotek.
  6. I might also give it a bash. But with a minimum of 30 gears :-)
  7. It has been a little quiet here recently...
  8. That is a very good looking machine!!
  9. Milk it - that's the first and last thing that is free at the Epic.
  10. At that rate someone will be paying you to ride it in 2014!
  11. And now that all those people are disappointed, maybe there will be entries going cheap early next year? **waiting patiently**
  12. Chain Reaction stock both the CK hubs as well as the Spank rims. They'll even build the wheels for you, and from what I've read on The Hub, they build the wheels nicely.
  13. I've seen quite a few Loaded components on bikes being sold at FPC (bars & stems mainly) and they look really nice. Which rims did you go with?
  14. My brother in law has a pair of the sub rosa rims, which are for all mountain use. They look really nice and he has had no issues with them. I'm gonna be brave and go for it. Probably gonna build them onto some Chris Kings. Will post pics when they done.
  15. Sounds good. Will try dodge the Spykerbomb thing though!
  16. That's my thinking. Although, there's always a risk in trying something unproven. I can't even find a review for these on mtbr.com, even though they are listed.
  17. From the sound of things, everyone got pomped at VG!
  18. Any Spank fans out there?
  19. They must have made the batches bigger - moved from B to A.
  20. Did you ride under power lines? This stuffs up HR readings.
  21. Hi all, I'm looking to upgrade my 29er XC wheelset. Anyone got any feedback on these? http://spank-ind.com/index.php?a=info&do=pro&id=66&tid=26 The 29er rim weighs in at 425 grams which puts it between a ZTR Crest and a Arch-EX. Price-wise it costs about the same as these as well (About R750 / rim) I'm currently running Crests which are nice and light, but a little too flexy for my liking. The obvious (and safe) choice is the Arch-ex, but Spank does have that little bit extra pimp factor. Would love some input. Shot, G.
  22. Ja, sleeping is overrated anyway. :-)
  23. True. Every time I've been in a team, I've been stuck with the 2-4am graveyard shift. That is k@k scary at Northern farms when it gets foggy in the forest. Looks like a set from a zombie movie...
  24. Quite plausible. They are known for not rushing things to market, unless they're 100% sure.
  25. I are also a Bul.
