If I didn't pride myself on not taking **** too seriously, I'd be offended by that. I've ridden so many times in the dark, mud, snot and rain in the name of 'training' that I really don't see the point of doing it when there is an alternative - ie. ride this afternoon. No every ride needs to be an 'epic' ride. Puff on that one.

Exactly, the only way to keep up with someone once they bought a 29er, is to buy one yourself. There, I turned this into a 26v29 thread. :-)

I also did, but on a 26er. I think the weight penalty on running a heavy tire is much worse on a 29er. Mostly for that reason I won't put them on my 29er.

I got my money on a Niner built up with 26 wheels. That Dangle oke knows what he's doing...

I ride that loop about once a week in the mornings as I live about 10 km down the road. It's bloody tough, but cool too see all the animals in the morning. Zebra, black wildebeest and rooihartebees are what I've seen so far.

I find it very hard to take an 11 over a side game seriously. After the highs of test match excitement, last night was absolute drivel. And I'm not just saying this because we lost - I could honestly care less. Why din they just reduce it to 5 overs each. That way they can pack more adverts in.
