  1. This must be one of the most ridiculous things i've ever read.
  2. Hesjedal being such a beast
  3. I find that after a hard, hard race where I sit on my drops for very long or very far forward on my saddle
  4. You want to close the MTB trails enjoyed by hundreds of cyclists on a daily basis because some shop has Scott branding at the gate? Do you cycle? I would be very sad to lose Jonkers, ride there at least twice a week. I ride past that restaurant all the time, I've never stopped there but I have seen the Scott/Flandria signs and found it pretty logical that Scott is providing them with bicycles. There are no scott signs on the trails, but only specialized signs and so I made the conclusion that specialized are funding the maintenance of these trails. Although they're looking a bit worse for wear right now
  5. Well said Meathead
  6. 21 kg haha that is serious.
  7. R17.50 for a GU gel is a good price, definitely gonna be visiting Dischem soon. I love the GU gels. Vanilla bean and salted caramel are my fave.

  9. Hey guys, this AM on my ride out of Stellies at about 7:30am my training partner and I saw a guy on a nice looking 29" Niner. It was black carbon 29", Niner(text in white) with white ESI grips and a white fork. It had red bottle cages(I think). As soon as we saw it both of us looked at each other and assumed it is stolen(Rider in blue overall, did not look the part) and a police van had just driven past us. So we chased down the police and had them turn around to go see if they can find him. They seemed interested and willing to check it out, no idea if they found him though. If anyone knows of this bike being stolen, i'm sure this guy will commute on it again. We saw it at about 7:35 leaving Kayamandi, entering Stellenbosch town. And maybe if you're lucky it's at the police station
  10. Froome gonna show you guys just whats up I do think Porte was a big player in Froomes success in the TdF, so we'll see...
  11. Convinced my parents to buy a proper machine after their like 3rd average machine broke. Got the Rancillio Silvia V3 + the grinder. Man it's awesome. Been making the most amazing cuppa's - still got a lot to learn though!
  12. Address the root of the problem. Why do you have a post nasal problem? If you don't have a post nasal problem, you'll be fine!
  13. Protein shake + Foam roller + Sleeping in compression pants is a goodie.
  14. I guess the same logic applies to our Tonsils? Yet doctors remove it as if it has no function whatsoever. And i'm sure you mean by the way we have evolved, and that is based on how our ancestors used to live. I don't think they had much choice in what they ate, nowadays there is so much supply all year round one can eat how ever one wants. I am not here to consult vegetarianism, but as I said earlier I don't think eating meat 3 times a day everyday can be good at all. Someone asked why - because too much of anything is bad. And meat is not very nutritious and as I said in my first post the problem is people base their meals on meat, they don't think of a nice meal and add some meat - they think of a meat and add some extras(chips...). If you didn't eat meat, you would be forced(hopefully) to get some variety, try some veggies and have a wide range of veggies which is ultimately really healthy and the best diet. Of course you can be bad about it and just eat bread, chips ETC but that is just silly. Also, I know of multiple elite athletes that are vegetarian, if not vegan. It's not hard, just gotta watch out for a lack of protein(we all know this isn't hard to take in with supplements) and your Iron levels.
  15. Thanks for that, very cool read. I agree it is a big problem(at least where i'm from) that most(I wont get all statistical ) of our meals are based on the meat it will contain. And that maybe if you're feeling healthy you add some veggies but the "meal" is the meat. I have for long been of the opinion that we need to eat less meat, one can't eat meat every day 3 times a day and think it's healthy. If only our focus was more on the veggies, with some meat added it would already be a great improvement.
  16. I think that's a good idea. A good starting point at least.
  17. How do we verify if our Chinese carbon frames are from China?
  18. Maybe they're on the way to a farm or trail? I don't think you need to worry about them making full use of their money spent...
  19. 2 guys riding next to each other in the yellow lane(even though the line isn't there) with more than a meter to spare next to the traffic - I don't see the problem? However, recently when i've been riding out on the R304 I have been keeping it single file as people don't seem to be able to drive straight without painted lines. Also, do you think the cyclist isn't aware of the whole single file thing? I don't think he needed you to make him aware of it, which is why he gave a sarcastic answer.
  20. Haha, dude it's jeep track - go which ever way you want! I try not go up single track(although some of the single track is marked for "ascending riders"). I ride clock wise, like your suggested route, all the time. Don't know why anyone would shout at you...
  21. I really hope you're wrong. Spending hours on the IDT is depressing. Doing it once or twice every now and then is manageable...
