  1. Phil mentioned Cape Town + the argus + Chappies. Man I love the guy
  2. I think weight and "vent"-wise they'll be very similar. It's all down to FIT(hope that doesn't count as OCD...) and looks!
  3. Yep there are many cameras at BP. Also, don't leave your bike on the rack in Stellies unattended! This place is bicycle stealing heaven. I would never take my bike to campus.
  4. Banana + PVM energy bar works really well for me Also the Gu gels are nice.
  5. Pronutro is also gluten free! And feels way more "wholesome" that Futurelife in my opinion.
  6. It is from diet. We build up mucous because of allergies to things such as Diary and smoking. Also bread and sugar. When you cycle it all loosens up and thats why it comes up. Do you also find that when you wake up in the morning you find it lying in your throat? I would never seek medical advice for this, by medical advice I mean go see a GP. It is not something medicine can sort out in my opinion, but rather diet and habits.
  7. Yepyep agree. Edit: dipslick I find it interesting that your name is not written in capital letters...
  8. Does anyone know where I can see the geometry of these 27.5" bikes? Very interested in seeing that. Also for the Merida big seven. Strangely can't find either of these, maybe i'm being blind... Very keen to see the Merida geometry, they tend to have quite aggressive geometries I think.
  9. Really nice read thanks. Getting keen to build myself a chinese 27.5er...
  10. Wondering why you did not include Merida in your list. Merida big 9 XT-M is a nicely priced bike and the geometry is awesome(I think). As mentioned above, the wheelset is a biggie! Often people look at the "face value", being what groupset it comes with but I think the wheels play a big role and often the bikes come with very average wheels but a super groupset, where a good wheelset may well benefit you quite a bit more.

  12. Science!!
  13. Haha really?? No good
  14. With Alarm + security doors I think it's alright. They're gonna need some time to get through proper burglar bars and if you have a good alarm system they won't be able to get to the bars without tripping it. And the Security company takes max 10 mins to get to you Idea of having a firearm in my house scares me!!
  15. They've broken into my flat before, in Borcherd street (connects with Andringa). Worst is they keep cutting the cables(or something like this) so the street lights are never on. Have reported it to Municipality and police but they're still off(for weeks now). Last week they were on for 3 hours and gone again lol. They tried breaking into my flat 2 weeks ago, on the TOP level window, facing the street. Like I would never imagine anyone would try this, it's so open to the street, but with the lights off it seems pretty chilled. This street is a nightmare. My friends are too scared to park in my street because of all the car break ins here...
  16. That is a beaut.
  17. Sjoe do want more info on these accused bike thieves. I live very close to those you just listed, pretty sure they've spotted my bikes by now... Scared
  18. Looks a bit horny
  19. Intense stage. Cavvie my boy!!! Nicely done by Saxxo, hope sky can keep it together. FroomFroome
  20. My GF is shorter than you, just swapped to 29er a few months ago and she is super happy and hasn't had any of the problems that people suggested she would have. Other than the stand over height being a bit high, she's very happy. And TBH it feels like her climbing has improved, and her technical ability too.
