  6. Next year I am going to pick a team and through out all the names and get a random number generator to pick a team! Seems I am quite good at picking quiters!
  7. Go and have a look at the Anatomic factory outlet in North Gate Estate, Paarden Island or their website http://www.weardirect.co.za/anatomic-factory-outlets to see what they have. I am very happy with my bib, have it for about 5 months now, go through the washing machine after a ride and it is still holding up very well for a R999 bib. I don't use it for Epic length rides, so can't help with how it feels for rides over 45km.
  8. You can say that again! As always got some superb service from William and Daryn at William's Bike Shop. Left the decision of the wheels till this morning and Will pulled out some of his years of wheel building skills to build up the wheels before I picked the bike this afternoon.
  9. Final product. Changed wheels to Corse carbon rims on special edition turquoise Chris King hubs and had to get a Race Face BSA30 bottom bracket. Taking it for her maiden ride tomorrow.
  10. Can get it online: http://www.sasupplies.com/liquid-latex-p-4493.html Have not used it, but think I might give it a go, nothing to loose, only a couple of randellas.
  11. Wonder how long Astana would want to hang on to yellow.
  12. Awesome, all looking at Sagan and Nibs slip away!
  13. Lets give it a bash again this year! 1 Chris Froome 2 Alberto Contador 3 Alejandro Valverde 4 Andrew Talansky 5 Joaquim Rodriguez 6 André Greipel 7 Peter Sagan 8 Mark Cavendish 9 Marcel Kittel
  14. Try contacting Francois du Toit http://www.dutoitcycles.co.za/ he is a master frame builder and used to build the Peter Allan's if I am not mistaken.

  16. Does he have a bike? Contermans is having a shuttle day on the 6th July, there is always a couple of lities there with their small rigs, pull in, let him meet the youngsters and have a jol riding down. Those youngsters is also seriously fast! Start small, take him to G-spot and build confidence on his bike (seen a dad and his youngster there a while ago), dirt jumps?
  17. Needles had a great run, out qualified Mr Min! Hopefully he can keep his 4th position in quali and repeat tomorrow.
  18. Needles did not qualify, punctured and could not finish. :-(
  19. Don't they put atheletes in barometric chambers to heal up?
  20. Nope, Giant Trance 29er still in production for 2014. Love my 2013 Trance 29er but it gets clumsy on steep sharp switchbacks.
  21. 8_Mad, Majik is free to ride and it is an awesome spot.
  22. Not sure where I read it, might have been here, but apparently (I have not tried it) if you add some glitter to the inside of the tire with the Stans it helps seal bigger holes. I think the reasoning would be that the glitter pieces block up the hole so all the Stans don't get blown out. Not sure id any particular colour of glitter works better
  23. Thanks for sharing! Super usefull tip. You should post it in one of the bicycle mags where they have a column for such usefull tips, think Bicycling Mag used to have and usually have some nice price for the best tip. Thinking of it and looking at the Bike Brake site, a good use for those old Livestrong armbands nobody is wearing anymore.
  24. @helenzille I know there was plans to develop the vinyards between Van Riebeeckshof and the Protea Hotel into a business/residential area and extend the road from Jip De Jager to where that Pampoenkraal dirt road comes out, dual caridge all the way up to the robot at the M13, but that was out for punlic comment a good few years back (2-3 years if I remeber correctly).
  25. Hayley, Just want to say well done! It takes guts to go down the mainline, even with a DH bike I don't think I would make it down. Respect! PS Met your nephew on Saturday and he is very proud of you and shouted when you were coming down a practice run. He just could not understand why you don't want to do some of the jumps when you can jump over lamp posts!
