Why do they only advertize there gels and not there other products like the carbo drink and recovery drink?

We have often wondered about the huge discrepency between our heart rates, If riding together, same workload, he's always a good 15 beats faster than me. As I said he does seem to have massive short burst acceleration but no real endurance. This guy is a multiple comrades runner as well, untill the high impact running got to his joints. What is your Treshold hrt as a % of your max compared to he's? You should alway's check your efforts as a % of your treshold hrt not your max..for example you are climbing at 102% versus he might be at 105% and riding next to you.

He did finish with the bike he started on...not that that is a rule anyway. The main problem here is that the wheel he ended up riding with was from someone outside the race. If he got a wheel from anybody in the race it would have been ok,even if he finished with Max bike it would have been ok!! The rules are clear on this..

I actually believe that more serious accidents happen on the quiet roads and less during busy times. Yes guy's gets knocked down in peak traffic but it tends to be the guy's that speed on quiet roads that worry me most. On busy roads drivers are actually more alert and much more aware of the dangers. So gaan Mnr Fulhard nou vir hulle ry? Weet jy waar hulle die Hyper gaan ry?meeste van hulle manne is 35+? Dan sal ons seker uitvind hoe lyk n $$$$ magnaat met te veel tyd op sy hande se attack ne!Meeste van hulle ouens is nogal goeie sprinter as ek dit reg het?

Nogal snaaks...gewoonlik vertel die pro's jou hoe min hulle train. Dink hulle voer jou bietjie poep as jy my vra. 150km n dag met een rus dag en jy is nogsteeds nie by 1000km nie. Nie eers Phen het so baie gery nie......ok maybe hy. Ek sal verbaas wees as daar 10 Vets in die land is wat 500km n week kan oefen vir n volgehoue periode.Maklik om dit so nou en dan te doen....wat my betref is dit so te se onmoontlik om konstant daai tiepe kiloes te doen en kwaliteit te doen en dan nog te moet werk ook. Maar in elk geval ons sal vinnig genoeg uitvind ne,sommer oor n paar slapies en dan elke week vir die volgende 6 weke. Sien baie uit om te sien hoe lyk n 1000km n week attack!! Lekke lekke!!!!!

My first Sabiex and it won't be the last that's for sure. Man what an amazing experience and challenge this was. Must be the hardest thing I have done this year but also the most rewarding by far. Day 2 must have been the hardest most amazing 4 and half hours I have ever done on a bike....but I must admit at some stage I got a bit worried that we are never going to stop climbing!! Day 4.....I have to say this is one day I never want to have again. To give you an idea we ended up every day somewhere in 40 th place overall and then comes this mud wrestling contest......we ended up in like 100th place for the day.Can't say it was my worst day ever on a bike.... because I was more off the bike than on it!! I struggled a lot with back problems during the first hour of everyday and then started to feel better as the day went on...some people say it's just because I am not that used to the Mtb and climbing for long periods?? To all the people involved especialy those people standing in the pouring rain, waiting to help us with the route or some refreshments......a very big thank you!!! In 2009 I will focus on doing enough Mtb races so I can come back to this race and really give it a full GO!!If this is the only race I get to stand on the podium next year I will be more than happy!!! And to Beee and her partner who also completed this monster and ended up being 7th in the ladies...I am soooooo Proud of you!!!!!!
