    Argus 2014

I will vote for the ANC if they promise no wind for the next Argus, I had the misfortune of having two punctures, clipped a couple of things riding behind the mtbers in the group, Stopped on that stretch before you get to Chappies(not sure what the area is called), got surrounded by some of the local children and one nicked my tube, I had to walk to the water point and luckily there was a repair shop, and then on Chapmans peak coming down, I phoned the wife and dropped my iPhone 4S at 60km/h, best phone in the wolrd. I saw how it was tumbling on the tar into the bushes, I stopped walked back thinking it would be in pieces, but when I found my phone, part from a couple of scratches on the corners the phone is 100%, did a 4h30

  13. Yeah dont know, currently got the truvativ crank on there that was on the Schwinn, 10 speed105 fd, tiagra 8 spd rd, , sram 8 speed casette, 10 speed chain, and everything works 100%, allthough the bike is heavy and I am crap, drag myself uphill to fly down the other side, for now I'll have to be happy with sub4 at the Argus
  14. thanks, the frame is actually new, it had 105 groupo on which they removed so I just bought the frame and put my old 8 speed parts on it from a shwinn fastback I had, unfortunately I suck at climbing, so changing the crank seems to be the easiest option rather than changing the whole groupo or rule#5 http://www.bicycling.co.za/bike-buyers-guide/ar20c/ link to the bike
  15. do you recon this will work? http://www.ebay.com/itm/310882628259

  18. Hi guys, I bought a Axis ar20 carbon frame, with 8 speed older parts on, the guy who sold it bought the bike for the parts, so I want to upgrade the 39/52 Truvativ Crank to a compact 172,5mm 34/50t beacause I am to fat and struggle on the climbs. I am unsure of what crankset to buy, the one I am looking at says 110mm BB recomended, So the question is, Is most of the stuff std side, in other words, can I buy the crank, or will I have to search for a 110mm bb and also I dont know if it will fit the Axis help die dom vettietjie asb man
  19. Hitler finds out about DA and Agang
  20. Dont buy China ripp off kits, or check your bib and check it again before going on a ride!!! the stitching on bib started to come loose while on a training ride, needles to say I felt the air coming in from the front, looked down and saw the gaping hole. I had to quickly tuck "it" to the left and leave the group and rode in aero position all the way home, bad thing is I had to ride across town to get to my home, every time we get together now, someone will ask hows it hanging, very thankful that it didn't happen in a race as I did the Karoo2Coast with the same kit
  21. hahahahaha best comment on this fred
  22. Its a 50/50, Roadbike is also lekker for training, as it is less cheaper to maintain, I enjoy both, only ride one race per year on the road bike, but its nice to go out on longer rides with it for fitness, we had the same discussion the other day, maybe its better to buy a wheelset for 4k and swop and change depending on the condition, as for time, the average oke will be faster on a road bike, at the end of the day, do whats comfortable
  23. Got out of my driveway and decided to pop a wheely infront of the house, by the second stroke I knew I was running out of tallent and tried pulling the brake, needles to say I flipped the bike infront of all the neigbourhood kids, I quickly stood up dusted myself off and off I went for my ride, hearing the laughter down the road, I thought to myself well that was stupid, but not as stupid as when a chick pointed out that my bleeding ass is hanging out, by that time I was 40 km from home and all of a sudden it felt like everyone was out for a ride that day. I still keep the pants with the hole in them in my cycling drawer as a momento
