  1. bungee cord?
  2. OK so R300 for 2 Imbis sounds more feasible. Pool noodle still alot cheaper, but this does look better. I also like that I could just strap them to the rack when not in use.
  3. This looks really well thought out. But you need 2 and at R300 each.... Pool noodle is probably gonna stay where it is. Edit: Looks like the cost is R300 for a set of 2.
  4. First up, HUGE difference between "safe" and "legal". Huge. In this context I assume that "safe" is incorrectly being used in place of "legal". Second is just a generic point to think about on where to draw the line and what constitutes a performance enhancer: A performance enhancer is essentially something that you can take/do that is gives you something that is not naturally available to your body. So how are concentrated food drinks/protein shakes/recovery drinks not considered "performance enhancers". Many people use them because they see a true benefit (ie enhances performance), and while it is possible to get everything in a recovery drink through real food, it's not really possible/feasible to eat that much straight after a high intensity workout let alone process it as quickly. Or to have it pre-digested as is the case with some of these supplements. So I see this whole lot as pretty grey from the onset (don't even get started on TUEs). The black-and-white of it is that: A compound cannot be banned unless it a) exists, b) it can be positively tested for. Therefore it is reasonable to assume there will always be performance enhancers which are "legal" as they are still being studied. This doesn't mean that they are "safe". So in terms of Tridenosen, if you really feel that you need to use the stuff.... use it while you can because you can expect to see it on the banned substances list in the near future.
  5. With that combo, Ron front, Ikon rear.
  6. I dunno.... He's been on Kittel's wheel almost as long as Qintana has been on Froome's!
  7. too much time in front of the screen..... Hope I didn't miss things like that in my work stuff!
  8. I can't seem to find any info on whether it will assist with rear suspension as well, or if it is limited to the fork.
  9. another goodie http://bfy.tw/6l0a
  10. I think I'm due for a new test..... got a TSS of 160 for yesterday's Zwift ZTR TWC which I did in a little over 90 min.
  11. I'm not sure Shimano base their tech on what ICASA are/aren't doing. I've never heard of this type of issue on any other "open" platform like ANT+, Bluetooth etc. I really believe that this is a case of someone having declared something that they didn't really have to resulting in a bunch of confused people.
  12. Could well be that. And then it makes sense. Edit: Should I really be assuming that what they do makes sense?
  13. Ok so basically just a check that you are actually in the ISM band as per your claims. Makes sense but I don't believe for a second that every bluetooth / wifi product I've seen on sale has been specifically approved by ICASA. Mainly because there are lots of products and ICASA isn't particularly efficient.
  14. I thought the ISM band was completely unlicensed, which is what made Bluetooth and WiFi so awesome.
  15. I think it's definitely something you guys should look at trying to get - effectively its a Zayante crank with a 4iii crank arm (similar to stages addon) except you don't land up with a "spare" crank arm. The Zayante on it's own seems to get very good reviews and the next cheapest equivalent would be the Power2Max on an FSA Gossamer at approx. R12500.
  16. Same guys that do Enduro, but I'm not sure if they'll do the support for 4iii who do the PM part of that crank. I think the next cheapest (new) option would be single sided Vectors obviously supported by Garmin.
  17. This seems to be the cheapest (new) powermeter I could find that I'd actually consider: http://www.praxiscycles.com/product/zayante-4iiii-power/ Not sure what local support is like though.
  18. So R120k is USD 8k. Enve rims are 1kUSD each. Chris King rear hub cost the same as the other wheelset so you're up 2000 dollars. Fork is the same fork so no price difference there. (As per spec sheet) Frame is the same so no difference there (as per spec sheet) Price difference between XT brakes plus xtr mechanical to full xtr di2 is another 1500 dollars (if that). So we're 3500 dollars up. The only things left are the crank, seat post stem bars saddle and grips... For 4500 dollars. Maybe they need some LuvHandles to help with that price point.
  19. Maybe a typo, but both had the same frame, shock and fork listed in the specs.... the R70k one had a different fork but the same frame and shock.
  20. Hang on..... the R195k and R80k one have the same frame, shock and fork. So there's R115k worth of component and wheel "upgrades" you can do to an XT/XTR spec bike? Also, how are there 4 bike specs above the top end women's bike spec?
  21. Useless???? This will be extremely useful for when I want to try a different tyre combo but still have tread on my current ones.
  22. Developed specifically for MTB tyres...... does that mean there is one for cutting road tyre tread?
  23. Have a look at wiggle.com.au. ... they seem to have some great pricing. Make sure it's the Aus one and not the UK one though.
  24. Why no setup that does away with a brain and has a single shifter, battery and RD. Finish en kla! 1x11 would be such a win with that. I seriously do not understand how that could be difficult. also.... USD 150 for a battery.... and USD 110 for 2 buttons in a casing..... seems a bit ridiculous.
