  1. What are the thoughts on being able to report drivers yourself? I believe you can do this in the UK and recently saw that the Overstrand municipality have implemented an online reporting system I think. Case in point… this morning a polo went through a red light on Beach Road when two cars (seen entering from the right) were already pretty much through the intersection, that’s how red the light was. Nevermind that they were cruising over 70km/h in a 50 zone🤷🏼‍♂️ varia 0204.mov
  2. Does it? What's worse... being brought up by a scumbag or no father in the picture at all?
  3. Theft is a criminal offence right? Did he not get a Specialized Levo that was never returned, this should be the case to pin him on a "criminal" over civil case?
  4. Maybe @Warren Melissa Go Riding can vlog it for us😂 If memory serves me correctly they were signed up for one of his tours? (Dunno why I think I remember seeing that somewhere, apologies if I've completely made that up).
  5. Did he drop a chain in the sprint at the finish? On the coverage it looked like he was putting the chain back on after crossing the line.
  6. Again this weekend… probability of it being the same guy? 🤬
  7. Sorry to her this. What time did it happen?
  8. I really miss the Totalsports Challenge duathlon from Gordons bay to Kleinmond! With a road ride, road run, mountain bike and finishing with a beach run, it was such a cool race and offered something unique. Also the Piketboberg race and when the Trailseeker was a 5 race series in the WC (but appreciate the quality offered by the two we still have on the calendar) would be great to have back!
  9. You take POPI quite seriously 😂
  10. For anyone else looking, I am also available for rider assistance/driving. Please DM me for contact details to discuss your needs 🙂
  11. Does lying on the beach for the last 5 days contribute towards heat adaptation? Asking for a friend🤡
  12. Witfontein forest in George is epic. https://www.trailforks.com/route/cannondale-witfontein-enduro-2024/ there is also Sky trails in Plett, but not sure what they’re like now, wasn’t amazing a few years ago.
  13. Think I saw a Stages XT crank on the bargain bin table at CycleLab N1 city today… maybe call them and check if you’d like to stick with an identical replacement.
  14. Agreed. How do they access banking apps without the fingerprint/password (and in many cases 2-factor authentication) so QUICKLY?

    2025 WC XCC/XCO

I was keen to do all the events in the series, but to be honest this one has me reconsidering it. I get that they are testing the water, but my feedback is that this is very unappealing.

    2025 WC XCC/XCO

Well aware of that, but come on... XCC should be more of a short XCO course and thats not what I'm seeing.

    2025 WC XCC/XCO

Oh no, that's the tougher course... this is the easer one for the kids:

    2025 WC XCC/XCO

First race this weekend... Is it just me that's quite uninspired by the route for the XCC race? Looks like you could do it on a gravel bike... At a venue with so many trail options, surely they could have made a course with more than 5 corners, some switchbacks and a tiny bit more technical? New to this format, but expected more, so anyone out there that can give me more perspective?
  20. Your least expensive option is the Garmin Varia paired to mobile phone using the Varia mobile app. You can keep the phone in his pocket and hear the tones (and possibly feel the phone vibrating, but I wouldn’t rely on that) to alert of an approaching vehicle. The Varia is a device well worth the investment, I can’t ride without it now, makes riding more enjoyable and safer!
  21. As per the Pursuit website: The peer-to-peer performance index is based only on actual, verified event results data*. It is calculated using two parameters: the Total Index and the Event Index. The Total Index is the average of the top three event indexes per discipline, while the Event Index is calculated based on your final position in the event, the strength of the athletes in the event, the event rating, and the event index over three years.
  22. I'm not sure that loyalty counts, I've done most of the Trailseekers in the WC. I started the last one in Wellington in A batch and although I had a particularly bad race that day, I still finished in a time that put me in the top 10 of B batch with some A batchers behind... so don't understand how I suddenly got relegated backwards 3 batches (Wellington didn't have an elite batch like Banhoek did). Not complaining, it wasn't too bad having to pass people, but in the past the seeding system has been on point and one of the things that makes these races so great by not having traffic on the singletrack. One thing that could do better is have separate queues for the marathon and half marathon at registration... it was chaos.
  23. Was a great event. Something seemed off with the seeding though, my assumption is that the seeding index weights Wines2Whales quite heavily (longer event?) as I passed a lot of people starting in C batch quite early on that I can't imagine them ever being faster than me.

  25. The website really isn't great as a source for the route/maps. I did it in 2023 and these are the daily gpx routes that I mapped: Day 1: https://www.strava.com/routes/3043555412725683360 Day 2: https://www.strava.com/routes/3043557438576373720 Day 3: https://www.strava.com/routes/3043558609058231686 Day 4: https://www.strava.com/routes/3043559643554925728 Day 5: https://www.strava.com/routes/3043560784259747206 Day 6: https://www.strava.com/activities/9203381681 (lost the route, you can save it from this activity though)
