    OH Joy!!!!!!

Nice looking bike, lucky you.... enjoy and keep safe. Nice meeting you at SA's (Road Race Sunday).
  2. Octall.... We applied through Belguim, and have never had a problem.... just do not state racing...... only going over to assist and see what cycling holds as a future. Jnr now goes with KM, so no problems for us anymore.... Good Luck. Try going in through Spain, but I should imagine you still need a Shengen Visa.
  3. Colonel.... who would then get the envelope?????? would have to post it. TT cancelled tomorrow by the way.......
  4. He He,,, well said Belguim boy..... At least while this lot is bitching about you, they are leaving some other poor sod alone. Hold your head high, and yes, some may not like you, but hell, know one asked them to. Trust I can also fly over and watch these Ar**holes in your Team???? (Will pay my own way!!) CSA should be getting the brunt, not the Team Managers who at least try.
  5. Breeze, how you doing?... yes you are so right. Even the pro's get a run around re exact dates, letters and all. Not easy, and sad in a way, but if you are determined, you will get there. Good luck to all going over to Europe.
  6. Thank Guys, Jnr is back on the bike, and feeling a lot better. Helmet and glasses replaced, and bike repaired. (Thank heavens for sponsors)
  7. I think the entry is very wide open, but one thing is certain.... its gonna be a great race...... I predicate a close bunch sprint.......
  8. OK back to the thread... it was Pedal Jnr that got taken out.... (Travis Konica Minolta) he is OK, facial injuries and stitches, broken teeth, damaged finger, but thank goodness not seriously injured. Taxi did stop, but wanted to claim damages for the 'dent' the bike made...... bloody cheek. (Excuse the pun|). Thanks to AAron Brown and Jaimie Ball for all their help, and any one else who may have asisted. A black dude apparently saw Aaron waiting further up the road, stopped and told him about the accident. Pretty cool, thanks.

I heard a rumor that Cape Town WILL come to a halt, whilst roads are closed for this event......... Lets wait and see.
  10. Big M.... sorry, never actually read your post correctly. Never did I mention that they wanted to make it big (in my post)... our programme just gets them out of there surroundings for a while, and enjoy a little TLC. May I add, that any colour may attend...... no rules there, other than Scholar age groups.... C U SOONpedal2007-05-02 06:23:06
  11. Dick, thanks very much. I am in Northern suburbs, but can arrange to meet along the way. Give me a call please. 083 321 7253. Large is fine, as some of the parents and coaches are also in need of some items, as they also assist, and we would like to keep them on the road. We have a few large scholars, so all is appreciated.
  12. This article from big ma made me smile.... a youngster wanted a pair of glasses... he got a pair, probably third hand me downs.... has worn them every event, every outing and his mom has a problem getting them off at bed time......... 2nd issus.... child rides in shorts, oversized T Shirt and slops.... got kitted out, yes shirt is a little large.... but hey presto, he improved his time, style and has the largest smile ever....... DO i need to go on.... no, and I would personally like to invite you Big Mama, to come along and watch these kids.... Oh, and please don't bring any thing with, but an open mind...... give me a call, and I'll let you know where we will be this wednesday........ look forward to meeting you.
  13. This is plea to all Hubbers and their friends from the Cape area..... We are in desparate need of help to kit out 51 development riders, whom we have taken on board in a new programme together with PPA. Should you have any unused cycling equipment, bikes (MTB or Racers), pedals, helmets, gloves, clothing, in fact any cycling related goods, and wish to dump them, We will willingly come and cart all away for you, and make very good use of all items. Restricted gears are also in short supply, and badly required for use at the EvE schools tour in Ju A very big thank you to those that have helped out thus far..... JimmyB, MDK555, Marius, Nicky and PPA. An article appeared in the Cape Argus last Thursday, and I would like to repeat, what a humble experience it is to help these kids......... Please, look in your garages, spare rooms, wherever, and give me a call. Thanks from the bottom of our hearts. Midge and Pedal (083 321 7253)
  14. So very sad. Condolences to family and friends, especially to Johnathan. x

  16. Phew..... what a thriller, and yes, I was Personally at the SA TT when she was U14,(possibly even U12????) just remember her outward Boasting, but cannot recall her at the top of the Podium... Saw with my own eyes.... fortunately did not have to endure her Articles....... so can confirm she did not win the event, as stated by Mynx..... pedal2007-04-24 14:01:45
  17. She is know to me as "show off" and that goes back to her U14 days.... amazing how you just never shed those ways..... pedal2007-04-23 12:12:32

Sorry, but missed this post.... Craig is definately the one to choose. He is the most qualified, and has the manners to go with the job. Don't want to open a can of worms from 4 years back, but that is how vivid my memory is of Wagener.... would not give him the time of day.... Good luck Craig. Widget... where you been???? Officials must surely have a controlling body..... and they have quietly got on with the task at hand, not getting involved in all the politics publicly. Great job.

Hey Koekie..... got a problem in your life.... ride harder and smell the roses....
  20. Mdk & JimmyB.... many thanks.... msg on its way.x Now whilst I hi-jack the thread.... if anyone out there (Cape Hubbers) have any 2nd hand bike equipment or clothing, and would like to donate it, please send me msg, as I would like it for the development programme I am involved in. Small clothing would be wonderful, but anything goes. I will willing collect, so no running around for you.
  21. Thanks MDK... was out on the road this morning, but all was quiet.... will pass on to my friends. Glad to hear Kevin is OK....
  22. SC was the best in ages,,,,,, thoroughly enjoyed the show, and actually watched it all. Hopefully next week will be part 2. Greg Minaar is so cool.... no airs and graces like other European/SA riders...... and a Honey as well.
  23. Phew, what a lucky escape. Maybe hitting the pavement, saved cyclists lives. Speedy recovery to cyclists, and may driver rot in hell.
  24. Thyolo.... Brilliant........ I think you deserve the Golden Caption Award..... pedal2007-03-19 04:38:57
  25. So sad..... just earning a few extra rands and this is how his short life ends. R I P 'Newspaper' delivery boy, and condolences to his family and friends. May the driver of the car, rot in Hell. (Maybe Hell is too good for them) We do need to get more aggressive, and start retaliating...... imagine if we rode around with metal poles, and started assultaing drivers.... all hell would break loose.... but we, as cyclists are supposed to sit back, and accept this kind of abuse. Cyclists start retaliating........
