  1. When God made the UCI, it was given a set of rules, and over the years, the UCI has refined it into a very good document...providing indepth guidance to everyone involved in cycling....I wonder why organisers risk going sub-par on that doc, cos if they aim to match its suggestions as best as possible, the moto would have been somewhere else, a static cam would have been employed, OR a separate lane provided, OR the mats could be shoved further away from the actual line? (Podium results are judged by the naked eye, and CSA sent a camera and operator for judging assistance....so the mats could have been much further away, or anywhere else...) Soeedy recovery all - - I won't get into a debate here, but you may email info@cyclingsa.com for anything.... latrinus emmer2009-10-19 11:58:11
  2. Hi Guys One skinsuit did not make it to its final destination. All the kit is brandnew, except for those guys who used the new Velotex designed kit earlier this year in Langkawi. No-one is using someone else's except for a logistical buggerup where Jaco and Jay had to share skinsuits. This is the info we have at our disposal back here at home. Each person also received offbike kit. We take responsibility, and if any slipped up, we'll action the correct responses. |As from next year, we'll have a dedicated manufacturer, who is sponsoring all our stuff, AND we'll get all our kit at the start of the year, according to this manufacturer. We hope never to have a situation again of lastminute deliveries or a shortage of equipment or kit. We do believe that this year has seen a marked improvement in policy, in delivery, in commitment, etc. Welcome, Hunted, et al, if not so? Carinuslatrinus emmer2009-09-25 01:53:00
  3. Hi all, Our next newsletter is due in a few day's time - I trust that some of the above would be explained in that letter. Let me know if you do not get our letters. Thanks, Carinus
  4. a pleasure - at least we now know why your license never made it to you
  5. helo, we were locked out for a month or so, succumbed to facebook and twitter in the meanwhile....never to haunt the hallowed halls of hubbernation anymore....
  6. Hi all, Justin from myrace could answer a whole bunch of these queries, directly, straight from the horse's mouth, otherwise he will continue dealing with each person on the hub on a one by one basis....he has been pm'ing a number of people....claire on the other hand may be emailed at support@myrace.co.za I am available on support@cyclingsa.com - people who had paid for day licenses when not supposed to, may contact me in particular. A snapshot of the riders database is available to all parties, but, as Napalm surmises, some admin parties opt not to read the data. Carinus
  7. Martel Was jy toe gesort?
  8. Goofs's name?
  9. Hi Andre, Did you get an update from Riaan? Those raleighs are not falling apart, they are hanging in a garage doing nothing. they need minor work.
  10. Andre, it is quite cool to do a search on CSA and see your name pop up everywhere..... CSA was being sued by a person who complained about the use of the word "team" on club kit - this matter is now being dealt with outside court. latrinus emmer2009-03-01 23:30:16
  11. Very simple Turtlek. In Jan, when the ladies returned from leave, and when we saw all hell brealing loose, wrt ineffective operations, we reverted to the "manual" system, as a parallel to the online one (which was the root cause of our trouble) - so, all okes who applied offline, prior to, and into Jan, were issued the silly cards...I must also mention that the most recalcintrant areas wrt doing the online thing were submitting manually, and that that very act could also have slowed down things greatly.... We are also seriously up in numbers, and did not make ample provision to deal with the issues related....again, we have only now reached top-speed, and I do believe we are cresting the summit... if I do remain in this job for another round, I bet we'll have less issues, and differnt ones...one of the biggest issues lurking is that of conjoing different systems, in some or other manner....more on this during the winter
  12. Thanks Sydd - and Andre, but do get your facts right, your sources are befuddled, my meagre reward is less handsome
  13. Hi Turtlek I had to jump through a 1000 hoops to beta-test a new card last year, and the rest of my response could well be read in another answer tonight.... You will be included in the new card campaign - which a lot of people had received this year already, some 6500 if not mistaken.
  14. Hi Sydd By 0800 tomorrow morning all support queries will be handled and sorted - did you get a newsletter and did you send a message to support@cyclingsa.com? Can and will help - it has been bumped up to me so sort each one out individually, and I can assure you, we are doing just that - we have gained a lot of momentum the last week or two, and will not desist from performing. Did you know that each organiser gets a snapshot of the whole databse every week, as it applied to them, and that they have been mean tot use this data - for years - to check people's validity, in the vent of a no-card? Was anyone accosted for a card at Boschendal this week, anyone for Argus last year? If organisers and officals, as well as provinces, assist, like most do, then your very attempt at an application will suffice. For drug testing - incidentally, it is interesting to note that you have to carry any other legal formof ID with you, as per the UCI, and I am quite certain we all wonder why - it is because a large number of amateur athletes all over the word use fake membership cards, including here at home. (I was told that people in our country know just how to make their own cards, and that some administrators in sport actually also know?) Fact remains, we are failing you, so please write to our support desk now.
  15. No Sir, I did not meet all my promises. I will send you a card (in person) tomorrow - the system that we introduced two years ago is - for many certain and uncertain reasons, failing us. We are taking extreme steps to remedy the situation asap - including taking legal steps -not that that is any consolation for anyone still waiting, which I personally regret. Once we deliver everyone's cards, I will return to you and your ilk. Oh, please send the new road commissioner all the files you retained after your hasty retreat - and accept my apologies for posting the request here - seems as if my emails failed to find you.
  16. Andre, I wish you were THIS efficient when you were the road director....
  17. Resuls of Day Two available in pdf here and on www.bolandcycling.co.za full text format. latrinus emmer2009-02-26 08:26:15
  18. hulle gaan, want ons gee vir hulle n lys (soos vir elke event) van name van alle aansoekers....
  19. Hi Andre, I started one of those little responses of mine, but left it..rather (anyone) call me on 072 44 99035 so we can sort. We are two staff members short at present, we are getting behind the late deliveries, and Justin from myrace will publish much more exact details on your cards' whereabouts later today. If any of you need something, please call or email support @ cyclingsa.com CL ps: Mr Valverde - if you are who I believe you are - FULLRACE - joaquin valverde - Confirmed - which means your card SHOULD be with Cycle Lab (or it did genuinely disappear....)
  20. No, the c'card option is the definitive...the "old" abuseable, copyable one is being phased out......
  21. Send your names please......I have your name Andre. Carinus
