  1. Only one province sent theirs. (to me.) Perhaps they sent it elsewhere - but I do not know whetehr they had sent it elsewhere??
  2. mmmm, let's then see whether the proper procedures will be followed.... written complaints, directed to race commissaire, etc. c
  3. remember the pic of arno viljoen going up dutoitskloof holding onto a truck? (did we know at the time that he actually never even started that morning's stage?) my point: give this thing a day or two - i believe this pic is not representing the facts - perhaps some of the riders around the lady - who might be on teh hub - might comment - i believe it was take on the crit stage after the lapping had occurred and the race was "over?"
  4. wie wil vir my kom kuier op stellenbosch, dalk vir 'n koppie dop daar by Lem se vuur?
  5. we'll send a squad on the condition that money is found (sponsors) and that jacques brings some points back riding the uci squad at the first two events
  6. Hi all, I was at the managers briefing where this topic was raised. I received a PM from a hubber to inform me - please note, since I joined the federation, I am not involved in any event organising anymore. Treble, Tony Roberts and Cycle Tour are the organisers. Carinus
  7. What happened is Barloworld started attacking on the last climb. Then Pfaffenberger went clear. Janse van Rensburg went after him. Later joined by Kachelhoffer and then later four Barloworld riders sans David. And that was the final compostiion down to he line. Actually, BW attacked MTN off on the bruggie before the false flats of Bains, so it was actually mostly downhill when they went clear. Brentjens, Nic and Ian lost contact tehre, Lange yo-yo'd, came back in - I saw a few handslings, and then BW continued attacking. King Dave was strong - having to piss against the dominators.
  8. Popeye has waited the longest. Him, his club (Jasper) and their province (WP) were one of the first to enjoy the myrace system, and they also k@@@ked the hardest. Popeye is entering the hall of fame for the "waiting endlessly" competition this year. At least his license was approved, but WADA had a lot to say
Jy sal jou liksens kry. Ek begin vandag/more mense bel by provinsies en klubs om aan hul te noem dat ek persoonlik alle aansoek self gaan laat deurgaan tot op die print-vlak. Ek wil ook nie langer wag nie, is ook lus om my fiets te trap! latrinus emmer2008-02-13 23:59:54
  10. licenses are double-up on last year, on top of that almost 2000 successful online applications, and most hassles are being sorted.... to those still waiting for cards, you are still able to ride this weekend without a card, and as from next week, either a) you'll show a card, or b) the event will check yr ID nr on a system, for proof that you had applied! Bigger hassles is for teh poor recreational members, who joined clubs, but clubs have not yet passed on their info to us - as long as we do not know who are recreational members, we are worried that they'd be forced to take day licenses at events....so if you belong to a club who might not know about this, please tell them...(a large nr of clubs are still not responding to our requests) thx
  11. NEE JONG, DAAI FANCY MANIERE KEN EK NIE... Oops, Caps.
  13. Baas, See notes next to your q's. Land access: I do not know the details, but I am sure that the MTB blokes will answer that. The possibility exists that certain national/provincial-level or championship events need such? Naturally, individual organisers deal with their own access costs. I don't think land access costs have ever made it into the CSA budget for keeps. It probably gets rejected since it suffers a low priority. We'll know soon. Road Races: Funriders do benefit from the Road budget, but probably directly related to how much they spend on their licenses? Our financial men on the hub could probably try do the math there? Track: Track is an expensive sport, with only a few participants, but it is a massive developmental area, or not? Track gets very little budget, methinks. MTB/DH: A q for Mike B at MTB SA General: National kit, I think it looks ***! No comment. CSA needs (inter alia) a communications officer, before that can be addressed, isn't it? Shirt stolen in Tygervalley, actually! Yes, we'll make a range of such shirts, using licensing money Lastly. correct, I am not a decisionmaker. It is simple to understand. No-one needs to flame me for above, since no budgets are done, and you could all get a copy when ready. I believe the ship is on course, and we'll all continue to try our best. You may all write to inf@cyclingsa.com for anything else. latrinus emmer2008-02-07 03:59:39
