  1. Wow, glad you're okay my friend. Are you safe in Bloemies yet?
  2. Thanks from me too! Anyone used these guys and can comment about quality, price and whether they are able to spray paint after the repair?
  3. I'm also looking... Okay just saw the other thread.
  4. 'Highjack On'' Anyone know whether a Fox F29 100mm can be extended to 120mm? 'Highjack Off'
  5. Good guys! I like the fact that they employ actual cyclists...
  6. 29" Dual! Test ride one, but be warned... once you have you won't want to ride anything else.
  7. I'll be on the lookout... I hope someone catches this moth........, ahem individual

  10. Great news, even if it is on a day like today...
  11. Agree with the posts above, take a test ride and see what its like. Just one prob though... don't do it if you cant afford the bike. I took a Trek Gary Fisher 29er dual suss for a demo, got back to the shop, and yes... sold!

    Ride for Sight

Marshalling was excellent from CL start group. Anyone know when Racetec will have the results up?
  20. I use mine to transport my road bike (medium) and absolutely love it. Just remove wheels and put them alongside the frame, no removing of handlebards or derailler.Great to have the peace of mind. Used it many times with no problem. On Mango it costs R200 per flight. The bikebox (with the lid removed) fits into the back of my A4 (2010) and the Toyota Yaris pool car I use on the other side
  21. Thanks Tankman and MTB_Roadie, appreciate the comments One of our fellow hubbers came to the rescue and it looks like we found a bike with a mix of 105/Tiagra within the budget Thanks everyone
  22. No takers then...?
  23. Thanks for responding guys. As an experienced cyclist myself the first thing I did was recommend that he go into a few of his nearby LBS, chat with the guys on floor, take a look at the bikes and get a feel for what he likes etc. but he really doesn't have the time either (we're both up to our eyeballs doing new fin year budget setting, meetings etc.) There's really no catch here, if you have a bike thats similar to the spec requested, thats immediately available, pm me and I'll consider, narrow his choices down and give him what I think are the best options.
  24. Morning Guys A male colleague of mine is looking for a road bike to do the Argus on and has asked me to recommend a bike, and then find him a good deal. He's a social level "weekend warrior" mountain biker and has done the Argus a couple of times on his mountain bike. I really don't have a time to check all the websites, call all the stores, negotiate backwards and forwards, make sure that the bike is available immediately, so I decided to put it out to "tender" Budget 8 -10K Size - Medium Spec - Shimano 105 or equivalent 10 speed, compact crank 50/34, 12 to 27 cassette Wheels - Mavic Aksium or Shimano equivalent (strength is more important than outright weight) Colour - White or Black or Red (No Pink or Yellow or Green) Prefer brand New but if its "used but as new" he'd consider (less than 1000km). He wants to buy it before the weekend so it must be immediately available. If you have something suitable please PM before 3pm today and I'll review the offers and forward him the best 2 deals. Thanks
