  1. Interesting... This is what I was asking for above when I questioned whether the OP would change his riding style/habits....
  2. Very happy to hear you're OK... Thinking back on the incident now, is there anything you'll do differently in future to reduce the risk of this happening again? What lesson have you learnt and what advice can you give?
  3. Frame to carbon, pref Specialized. Good price to performance ratio IMHO. Let us know when you've upgraded.
  4. If you don't mind answering please...what time does Teak open, how much does it cost, do the have a coffee shop, does said coffee shop have strong coffee available at opening time? Switching back to my first love after 94.7...
  5. Value for money, ride quality and of course bling factor, Specialized Tarmac Pro SL(or SL3 if you can get one) is unbeatable...IMHO. Friday 22 July 2011 - Alpe-d'Huez - I've already applied for half days leave...LOL
  6. + 1 These guys are on the ball. My RS200 went in for a battery replacement and they replaced the casing too...no charge! Because of that I went out and bought a Polar FT 60 as my "other/work" watch. Keep up the good work guys!
  7. Eyes peeled on the West Rand of Gauteng. If spotted vengence will be metered out and the bike liberated...
  8. I have the same frame and absolutely love it..why do you want to sell? Don't like the ride? By the way I paid just over R18K new 3 months ago.

  11. Does anyone who the cyclist was, what club he belonged to, where he stayed? I'd like to send condolences to his family.
  12. Also cycled past the accident ay about 10am. A terrible sight. Spent the rest of the day questioning my reasons for road riding, the route I use out to the cradle, how it happened, why it happened etc etc etc. Also spent the day thinking about just how short life is and how much I love my wife and 1 year old daughter. R.I.P. fellow cyclist and my sincere condolences to his family.
  13. Garmin Edge 705 The training centre software with map overlay that is included is amazing for scouting routes and analyzing all the technical data both during the ride but especially after when you get home on your PC. I'm a believer...

  22. Thanks a lot guys, this is really helpful. Can you use Campag/Fulcrum cranks with a Shimano setup?
  23. Hi All. I wonder if someone can help me. I have a Raleigh RC 6000 Carbon 2007 model road bike and would like to replace the standard 105 crankset for a Fulcrum RS compact carbon crankset I saw advertised online. However I dont know whether my frame accepts English or Italian threads, if Fulcrum cranks are compatible with my 105 chain, cassette and deraillers and if there are any other possible pitfalls I am unaware of? Would I have to shorten the chain? Also is there anything I should be concerned about ordering online? Your advise would be much appreciated.
