Wonder if Supersport learnt their lesson from last year? They weren't planning on broadcasting it live and after a major social media backlash "compromised" and put it on Blitz channel in compressed low quality standard definition. Let's hope we don't have to go to those lengths again.

Did it last year and loved it. Stayed with family at Houw Hoek Inn and had an awesome weekend away. Two relatively easy but interesting days of riding. Especially liked day 2 down Houw Hoek pass and across to Hermanus. Don't drink to much wine at the last "water point" though. Would have definitely done it again this year but am doing Joberg2c over that weekend.

Sorry it took 2 weeks to post the pic from our training ride! Anyway, hope you're all safe after yesterday! Did 3.15 How'd you guys go?

Any further news on the condition of the cyclists?

To the cyclists involved - sorry to hear this and hope you heal up quickly. I had a close call on Beach road Seapoint a few weeks ago where a motorist opened his door a few meters in front of me and on sheer instinct, and almost involuntary reaction, swerved and JUST missed the car door. Luckily for me there wasn't a car directly behind me or I would have been run over! Scary.. Lesson for me was ride ultra defensively when moving past parked cars and try look through the rear window for any activity in the cars. To the lady that helped, you are a STAR. If no stores/suppliers come to the party I will contribute R100 (hopefully along with others) to replace you missing kit. OP just PM me if required.

I'm goin Solo.. Any other soloists riding from Cape Town? Maybe go for a ride before, or grab a beer, or both.. Happy training! And dieting (cancel the beer option above)
