This, and post-race bike washes, are the biggest killers of bearings, fork seals and pivot bushes. Even a regular garden hose will push past bearing seals, and a gentle flow of water and a soft bristle brush is all that's needed to wash a bike.

Runners don't need berms, and they also don't skid into corners (causing erosion when the rains come). Running trails require a whole lot less maintenance than bike trails...

You're spot on, and I'm testament to this type of thinking. I recently bought a house for, let's call it, $1m. I had a fair amount of cash I could could have dumped into it, but with interest rates at 2.2%, I rather opted to put the minimum 20% in, and invest the rest with a fund manager. The upside is that, as you pointed out, I get exposure to the growth of a $1m asset for only $200k (plus interest) cost. But it also allows me to get a 9%+ investment return on my surplus cash, which, even after CGT, is a lot better than the 2.2% interest cost I'd be saving.

Hmmm... fair comment I guess, given the videos doing the rounds. Not sure if UFC254 was sanctioned, but I'd like to think UFC is simply too big a sport to pull something like that. But sadly money talks, and calling off your main event would cost them big $$.

LOL. Hope you forgot the comic sans.... Gaethje is a very good fighter and seems like a decent guy outside of the ring, but this was always going to end badly for him. Khabib is simply too focussed on the job, too good on the ground, and sticks to his fight plan. It's worked so well for him

There's quite a few. Here in Aus the big players in the motor space are Auto&General, Youi (outsurance), Allianz, RACQ, Suncorp, and lots of smaller guys who have their own licenses. In SA the big ones were A&G, Outsurance, Hollard and Bidvest. Lots of smaller guys with their own licenses though, but also lots of cell captives running off other licenses.

Build quality on the Primer is top class. My bike has never been into a shop since I built it, very easy to maintain.

I ride a Primer and have spent a fair amount of time on a stage and stage max in the past. Primer feels a lot lighter on the trails, but the Pyga's are also great bikes. IMO you can't go wrong with either.

It depends how you build it. My 110 started life at 12.5kg, which is not bad for an XL size alu bike.

I had the exact same decision to make. One of my dogs had to be put down before we left, and the other we brought with us - she lasted 3 months before she died here.... If your dogs are over 9 years old, DO NOT DO IT. You can't get pet insurance on animals over 9yo, and vet costs are next level expensive. Cost to bring the one dog over was R60k. Vet bills in the 3 months she lasted here were R30k...

Here's what i did. Cut a thin piece of plastic with 2 'wings', kind of like a butterfly shape and roughly the same shape as the rim inner. Gently fold the wings and insert the plastic into the valve hole effectively blocking the rim inner. Now turn the wheel slowly until the loose nipple is resting against the piece of plastic. Use a thin pair of tweezers or wire to slide the nipple up the plastic and out of the hole. Then remove the plastic.

My son, who is 7, took my size large Intense for a spin up and down the driveway I was shocked that he could even pedal the thing, and obviously he can't get on or off without assistance. I've now taken to locking my bike up He's also eyeing my girlfriend's bike now...
