  1. It is more common than you think in endurance athletes https://www.outsideonline.com/health/training-performance/endurance-athletes-heart-health-research-2021/
  2. Record with your garmin at the same time, you can add your smart trainer as a power meter if not already done so,
  3. Anyone tried Temu yet? https://www.temu.com/ Started operating to SA on 17 January 2024 https://mybroadband.co.za/news/investing/524602-chinese-online-shop-taking-on-wish-shein-and-takealot-in-south-africa.html https://mybroadband.co.za/news/technology/524178-we-tested-temu-with-surprising-results.html They use Buffalo Courier for delivery, so not via SAPO like Aliexpress
  4. Look forward to seeing a Giant in a Makro near you.... https://www.mtbr.com/threads/giant-bicycles-to-be-sold-at-some-dicks-sporting-goods-stores.1228475/ Desperate times, make for desperate measures, possibly at the expense of bike shops https://www.bicycleretailer.com/industry-news/2024/02/11/giant-agrees-sell-kids-and-mountain-bikes-dicks-specialty-stores
  5. Try ActivityFix https://www.activityfix.com/ you can create rules based on each bike and will auto change accordingly and automatically. See GPLama review
  6. Yes you can, then the following week, 2min off 2min on, the week after 2min off 3 min on and keep building distance/time every week. As dave303e said, lots of free online download pdf's for couch to 5km that you can follow. When you run, run at a pace you could have a normal conversation and not out of breath huffing.
  7. You just buy a temp licence for the race until you get your 2024 licence. So there is no barrier! Organisers are trying to grow the sport, it is however not them to blame when it is an Athletes South Africa problem who issue the licences
  8. ASA have always been like this and don't know why they cannot do things sooner. Every year, you enter races in early January and February and use the previous years race number. Licences are usually only available towards the end of February As regular road runners, you get use to this scenario.
  9. Hippo's have been at Cradle Moon for over 10yrs. You only have to look at their Facebook page for posts on the hippo's going back years
  10. As you say you are new to MTB, you would be better spending money on a skills course, learn the basics and good skills then you will be able to do a lot with the bike, let alone just the back!!
  11. The decision will be really dependant on your goal for IMSA. If your aim is just to finish and budget is tight stay with your Giant, comfort over 180km is important. so perhaps consider upgrading the wheels to more race wheels. The Argon 18 E114 is an oldish (2011) frame and I suspect quite heavy and probably with old components and the tubbies, so would not see it as an upgrade. If IMSA is a once off, then upgrade your wheels. If you are looking to continue in the sport afterwards, then if you go with upgraded wheels, could look to save and find a more modern frame and then groupset and build a tribike over time as your budget allows.
  12. I doubt these bikes will come into the local market, If this is a syndicate as others seem to think, then they will be shipped out of the country and sold
  13. Kodi is mostly good for live tv (worldwide tv) and then series and movies (which will be on demand as you scrape for the series etc). Depending on which build you installed there maybe a TV guide, so you can see if and when the re-runs are, else you can often find past races on Youtube or other links
  14. Just came across this Free VPN for Google Chrome Extension plugin. Looks fairly new. https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/akcocjjpkmlniicdeemdceeajlmoabhg As I use Kodi, I have no need for a VPN, perhaps someone can try and give feedback.
  15. Also found the same, that is why I went back and re-installed to a more stable version of 20.1 for Kodi
  16. Tried kodi v20.3, find it slow when navigating and a bit buggy. I have reverted to v20.1
  17. Which build did you install and does that build say it has the sports addons? You can also search to see if any of the sports addons on this list are on your build then you should find Eurosport https://www.wirelesshack.org/top-sports-addons-for-kodi.html Alternativey try the Doomzday Aspire build I linked above. Then you should be able to scroll to Sports 1 & 2 and find Eurosport directly else look under Daddylive Sports or any of the Sports TV addons where you can find Eurosport. Cycling is also on Astrosports and sometimes Fox Sport, as alternatives. There are many Utube videos on setting up kodi and even Facebook groups discussing which builds and where best to find which channels you specifically want.
  18. If they are already pushing the update to media players then 20.3 should be stable. Will update one on my boxes this weekend and see. Try loading the Doomzday Aspire Build on Kodi, https://seo-michael.co.uk/how-to-install-doomzday-wizard-kodi/
  19. A lot of android boxes will have kodi pre installed, so you will just need to install a build into kodi. Just check what version of kodi first as I would recommend updating to 20.2. I have not tried 20.3 yet which was released recently, so am not sure how stable it is
  20. Exodus addon, became Covenant or there was a branch-off Exodus, which I don't think are supported by the Dev's much. Homelander, Scrubs and Crew are the more popular to look for series and movies
  21. Eurosport on kodi broadcast feed with GCN (same group Discovery+), so quality was whatever GCN broadcast at.
  22. Cool, I watch pretty much all series that I enjoy, currently watching Reacher, 3/4 of the way through at the moment and waiting for next episode which usually gets loaded a day or 2 after it has been released on TV. If you don't like Diggz, there many other builds that can be tried. process for installing is the same for all. I often google best current build https://troypoint.com/best-kodi-builds/ and these are frequently updated with instructions on how to install.
  23. Real Debrid movies will always be good quality, if you do straight search from Kodi using one of the scrapers, then yes you can get CAM on yet to be released movies (to be expected). Generally when they are released not long after the quality will be good and there are plenty of scrapers/providers if you set it up right. "And then on not very popular....." clearly you have not used Kodi in a long time. I often watch what is in Theatres at the moment, and do so via a firestick and projector. Kodi is free, so has it's limitations but often movies are 1080 sometimes 720, occasionally 4k. If you want 4k every time, then you will have to pay Netflix, Discovery+, Prime+ etc. Decide what you are prepared to pay for or sacrifice. My initial comment was that Kodi is an option if you want to watch cycling, and other sports in one place..... use it don't use it..
  24. Kodi you can download from the playstore https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.xbmc.kodi&hl=en&gl=US Diggz build https://www.vpnhacks.com/aspire-kodi-build.html
