You should watch the doc. Whilst it highlights certain conflicts, it is actually more about his recovery from epstine barr virus, depression, eating disorder and recovery to race again. The doc is not about having his way in life and getting everything to revolve around him or even blaming others. It does delve into the man himself both good and bad. I watched it and found it quite an emotional rollercoaster.

I am the same, it was not about how quickly or easy I can get the points but more of how hard it would be to get them them ill or injured. 900 is much easier to get in the what if scenario and having been ill, injured and had covid twice I have still managed to get the 900 target and currently sitting on 399 weeks streak !!

Perhaps watch the Breakaway on GCN+ where there showed the slow motion of his gears jumping and of him sitting down, getting back up and looking down at his gears. That being said, I think Philipsen would have still beat him, although it would have been a lot closer.
