  1. http://www.racewaredirect.co.uk/#/shop/4559567829/Garmin-TT-Mount---Black/1499216 This looks good too
  2. In Line with the stem height and bars to make it most aero dynamic. Single clamp on the bars is going to be the most easily adaptable to all makes, as different stems have different bolt patterns. I think the Barfly design is best, maybe K-edge after that. @Eldron, it's nice to have it further forwards so you can read it while standing on a road bike - but I primarily want one for my TT bar setup to read in the drops while keeping my head up
  3. He pulled the rectum right outta that attack... Mr nibbles must go as well and they must team up, it's 4 vs 2
  4. confirmed as the 496 Zed by cross reference: http://www.morganstcycles.com.au/product-list/look-496-formula-1-of-velodromes.aspx
  5. You're only as fast as the wheel in front of you... I can pedal a bit... you may be able to find some cred on my blog
  6. I'd be interested in a review... I have a Quarq but I miss the power data when I ride my MTB, plus its a mission to change cranks on my TT bike, especially if I'm not going out to do a specific hard test, or race. I'd use this to fill the gaps in my training - MTB and TT both use a constant HR threshold type of style, long climbs or constant wattage so having the instantaneous feedback isn't really necessary, for time based HIT intervals I would ride my road bike with Quarq. It's a pity this cannot be calibrated anymore tho, I would have ridden both systems simultaneously to aquire power numbers over a set course, then adjust the percentages to be relatively the same. As Rpedro alluded to earlier, the major concern is your seasonal improvements, and this is largely dependant on your Power produced in correlation to your FTP. Over = Hard and under = not so hard. Say my ftp is 200w and I ride for an hour at 200w I get a TSS of 100 with a PT/Quarq/SRM now if I ride the Powercal and it gets me at 180w for the same hour I get a TSS of 90. (for arguments sake) If I could then calibrate the Powercal to read 10% more I would hit my true wattage and have a useable TSS. and have nearly identical data to my other bike disciplines. I had a Polar Powermeter before and while the science is largely different, the training effect is the same. Do a power test pre season, train and track your training and then do another power test at your peak to see your gains, repeat each block and you will be able to see your training take effect. You will also be able to see your gains if you do your repeats on the exact same course in similar conditions and measuring your distance travelled and ave speed per interval, even if you don't have a true reading PM. What I did with Polar is race a mate with an SRM, we did the same interval on the same day together. Started and finished together, neck and neck. Then we went home and weighed ourselves with bikes (Everything still on as we rode) then we compared power numbers, divided into power to weight ratio and multiplied it back to get my true power according to his SRM. I could then recalibrate my numbers that my Polar was spitting out. I hope this product does what it says on the can, power training to the masses is a great service. if so I will buy one to add to my quiver of tools. I would also be willing to receive and test a unit and compare the numbers for people to see, if anyone wants to part with theirs for a week or so.
  7. Just hang a freshly baked Olympia Cafe muffin and Cappucino off the front of Lucky Luke's bars and get ready for a motorpacing session you'll never recover from.
  8. Which French track cyclist won a gold medal at the Kilometer stage on a LOOK bike, during the 1996 Olympic Games in Atlanta? Arnaud Tournant Jean-Michel Monin Philippe Ermenault Florian Rousseau
  9. Giro Aeon is awesome, Then Prevail. Kask are also very nice.
  10. Ditto Except I'm over 1400km away, even if I do a massive training ride towards you.
  11. same size as mine =57 I do want one with campy though as a training bike :-P New owner is going to love it.
  12. Cryptic Tank... It's the "Carbon Spring" Peoples.... I have these pedals and I love them long time
  13. your riding style and conditions will affect wear too...do you cross-chain a lot?
  14. I agree at 2390 although I weighed it myself (including Epost and all fitted cage bolts, derailer hanger etc) at 2455g
  15. yes you will be fine with a 28/36
  16. if you are a Professional amateur - then you should ride a 42 blade - especially if you want this rig for baviaans. and fast open stuff I had a 42.26 and was good but kept dropping the chain off the inside of the 26. i now ride a 2x 9 42.28 and am much happier. I only use a 11/34 9 speed rear ratio. I had a 32 before with the 26 blade and rode epic on that. I suppose you'll have to ask: are you a spinner of a grinder and choose blades to suit. the 11-36 is plenty gears for a good athlete with a 42.28 IMHO
  17. I'm going with d) Red Yellow Blue Grey
  18. He was one of only two riders in the tour to use the 595...
  19. The Husky is a pack animal and it's actually recommended by books and clubs to exercise them by building a sled for them to tow you. so that they can get enough run time in...
  20. Yip 595 it is... Bump for the playa's!
  21. Eggbeaters hurt my knees - no tension adjustment. SPD Hurt my knees - rusty crappy cleats don't float so well. - frikken heavy. Time Atac XS - So So So good... most comfortable pedal I have ever used - just heavy Look Quartz Carbon - Light weight with similar engagement to Time, just not as positive. Mud shedding is better though. (currently use)
  22. Agree with the majority here...this bike been designed with an ugly stick, let alone beaten with one.
