  1. Go and enter guys, the calendar is jam packed and racing will be your staple diet for three months! I'm actually looking forward to all the racing, no real training and when Killarney starts up again it will be even better! Here is a calendar and this doesnt even show the MTB races, Wellington gravel travel, OudeMolen, Karoo to Coast, TransBaviaans... We have so many races, we are spoilt for choice.
  2. I have an old triple crankset that i can donate, striaght arms, blades arent great and needs a chainring bolt or two. with isis BB
  3. Adjusting your FTP in your powersoftware is a great way to "calibrate" the powercal's TSS values. Unfortunately its not practical to do that way if you run a powercal as well as a strain gauge PM. Otherwise my PM value will be way too high. I just have to double the Powercals TSS, sometimes triple it.
  4. Ya that sale was a bit silly... bargain of note.
  5. It's the best 29er HT on the market. Turns like a knife and is flippen light!
  6. Here is the file from this mornings ride, it was a pretty easy going ride, but with around 700m of climbing it should have had a higher TSS. I should explain that I have a really low HR. It rests at 29-32bpm and maxes out at 172 so I am not the "typical" subject this HR strap is for. I often found it recording zeros or very low values compared to what i know I'd be putting out at that RPE. I will do a side by side comparison tomorrow hopefully and track the variation in my riding. I did not have a cadence sensor on and it still knew pretty well when i was freewheeling. and it reacted faster than i thought it would, compared to a HR reaction in a given effort. For me it reads very low, Im guessing because of my HR which is why I wanted to be able to calibrate it. I think at a constantly harder effort like a mtb ride or race or tt it would be closer. My TSS in this ride was recorded at 58.5 where it should have been about 100-120 points more.that's quite a big difference.100% or so. I'll track a simultneous ride with my quarq and see. I forgot I have an ant+ dongle for my Iphone and wahoo fitness app, so i'll use that.
  7. @ Look695 - I would hope it can realise your HR reaction time when fatigued is slower.
  8. just got that too...where's mine?
  9. Time warp or Groundhog day?
  10. agree, normal dried out latex sealant...just top up. You can wipe it off if you have nothing better to do...and /or are a weight weenie.
  11. There you go...it's like google - you have to ask it the right question to get the right answer. Most shops don't know the propero is compatible.
  12. how do you know it blood pressure? have you tested it after a workout? Maybe she's not eating enough or blood sugar is too low?
  13. put in another pint of blood? all the guys at the TDF also have low pressure so they stop at the hotels and fill er up...
  14. Call Olympic cycles ask for Paul. or PM Frodo on the hub... they are agents
  15. I can confirm that the previous agents lePeloton did not have pad sets for the 2D helmets for 6-8 months before handing over to Specialized SA who seem to suffer from the same ailment... bit of the problem but i do not think it's a Concept store issue. it's head office stock issue. The pads from the Propero fit, try asking for those. I need a pad set for my Prevail if you find any let me know.
  16. I'm seeing that your NP and ave wattages would be down on the PT because the PC will omit the peaks that PT will record and accumulate. so your 1130w was softened to 900w...those add up on a ride and your Ave suffers. if you are using it for peaked riding then you can expect a variation up to 15% is not much considering. But in a Time Trial for instance where you ride at 300w consistently, there is not much peak to lose and the gap will be small to true value. Similar in MTB where its mostly threshold riding.
  17. As long as it's consistently out that's fine. The reaction time is amazing for this type of equipment. What is more scary is the discrepancy in the two Garmin's Elevation recording! over 1000ft out.
  18. So my record was safe ;-P
  19. Rain only set to arrive at 11am...should be okay to climb that area.
  20. Didn't help him much...that Russian broad snuck off with Vos... how did she get over the climbs!
  21. Damn I just couldn't structure my training around this event as much as i wanted to ride. I hope it went well and there was a good turn out... Great weather...how were the times?
  22. Yes they did, but it was run as a business, they eared money from doing it, and it wasn't cyclelab sponsoring it... if they didnt make a profit they would pack it in straight away. The PPA are not making any profit, if anything they are making a loss. They are doing it so that the riders can race.
  23. Thats Hideous.... If they made me ride that I would quit and join the Vacansoleil Team. They have some style. How much time is Wiggo going to be exposed in the wind? 0.2sec? There is no aero saving when all you do is hide behind the Froomster.
  24. I do too..and did the same...but there are not enough events on the PPA calendar to use - Only three and those will be used
