luckily I am not in the cycling industry, my 2C as a business owner if you do not know the answers to get the product already,,, and you do not know the politics around wholesale distributors and the actual obscene money that is needed to get a wholesaler to pay attention you need to be more active in the industry and you are in for some school fees,,,,,,, YOU are your brand when you starting a new business you should already have some connection some "brand" value,,, as in networking hands on BRAND value that is not built up with emails and promises of what you want to do and what you think you might have to offer if you want a small base of customers who are looking for personal attention and you offer "something extra" THOSE CUSTOMERS UNDERSTAND THAT COME AT A SLIGHT PREMUIM and you then start building your brand, if you as good as you think, you build it up from there,

That paint looks very thick, normally when it’s that thick and hard bump will cause it the “crack” where the bike has chip marks is it as thick as it looks?

Very unlikely that you have a crack on both sides i think it’s the paint also a consistent crack through the welding like that , possible but very unlikely can be Ex rayed but I’m pretty sure it’s a paint crack, saying that it must have taken a knock of note

My non serious cyclist 2c i think too many people throw CPA around like it’s a silver bullet parallel import as said above is simply that the same product that is available just not through the “local approved” distributor honestly I got no issue, not all importers do the RIGHT THING when it comes to being the brand distributor if I know the brand and it has a strong foot print and reputation I’m in and more than keen to rake the “risk” as said every time u buy a new bike you are “at risk” of your LBS/brand simply saying “did you use a torque wrench” we suspect u over fastened XYZ WE import parts through turkey Dubai that have agents locally and we have no issues

This is so true, saw a SA stand UP with Vlismiss(spelling) so funny as above along the lines of only in SA will we be swearing at the taxis(only form of transport for 90% of OUR WORK FORCE) and still moan when the domestics dare be late, only in SA are we in such a rush to get to the kakkest jobs or rush to malls to stand in long queues to pay for parking in the army we always had the saying HURRY UP AND WAIT????????‍♂️????????‍♂️????
