HOWZIT GUYS I do follow the thread, it still blows my mind the the mother city is worse than “Gangsters paradise “ im in Blouberg for 8 days please can you guys tell me 5 places I can safely go ride from Blouberg (if I have to drive I will) please don’t recommend places in Cape Town as I’ll be there after these 8 days also my 13 year old is with she won’t be riding all my rides with me, so if you guys can recommend safe for kids, she is good for 50-60km average skills(in joberg terms) I’ve got my scalpel TO PLAY and my Ritchey for Grinds/TITS THSNKS

I think most Hubbers would be more than happy just to “see/be at the service” as you say it’s December speaking for myself I would much rather see a recording of the service than miss a live feed

As long as I’ve known Vetty, he grinds hundreds of km/s per week tucked down comfortably in that “***” position, I couldn’t do 200m never mind kms, I do agree it puts you in an unusual position, as Vetty said to me you can train for distances for sure, I think the extra few days(weather and and) not so much then again my idea of distance is 100kms 🤣🤷🏻‍♂️

Reinet Sorry for your loss, many of his comments about fighting were till the end about fighting for you Reinet , I never met Francois like many Hubbers but I can guarantee you everyone here spoke between ourselves about what an absolute Inspiration he was. Many conversations I’ve had with Hubbers outside of this forum were about Francois and his FIGHT and how positive, open and frankly he spoke on out his journey, a true hero and husband and friend has been lost, Sterkte

My non cyclist wife woke me up and told me my mate is off course I don’t know the secret handshake rules, as clearly most of us are Dot watchers not participates not 5 min later I received 3 more sms Vetty is off course my first response was to sms him , as of 23:35 now/today it’s not been opened yes I know you don’t have to open it to read it, but I do know when he is on line and not, end of the day there is decent prize money involved and rules must be followed it is extremely hard to police over 1100 plus kms, as all events I’m sure they will learn and progress and adapt What I’ve taken from the event is it inspires it makes US want to be legends it draws crowds and followers no other event has managed to draw out of all the riders, what I take is under these ridiculous times we are all trying to survive in they hosted an awesome event

I don’t know the answer but get a Dr that knows the correct recovery I have heard via mates of horror stories and from Drs how even with mild symptoms LONG COVID is devastating on athletes lungs and hearts, my accounts lady is suffering from neurological effects from Long covid V12man is not much on the hub but I suggest you try contact him He knows his stuff around covid, he helped a few Hubbers , athletes take your recovery very seriously, drs who know say covid is serious but long covid is devastating if not handled correctly

From my experience riding with mates on ebikes, unless you going up (yes I’m big) flat they must work, esp after 24km/h my BIL put on bigger gearing after our first ride out rides like the epic obvious day night difference i would gladly race an ebike over 150km rolling no hectic climbs if he doesn’t have a spare battery ????????????
