  1. So who of you that dropped seedings are going to start in the lower group anyway? Not as if PPA is going to ask for your seeding nr. back and issue you with a higher one.
  2. tjo, sy is mooi! maar enigste manier wat ek nou elites kan jaag is met my kar
  3. :-) ek is nou al 'n E!!!! Ek skat dat is nog steeds te hoog.....sal sien as ek eendag weer 'n race doen.
  4. HEY WAARHEEN IS MY BOUNCY BOOB SIGNATURE?????????????? its back, was worried for a second.
  5. With the 800 you can buy a gps unit for about R 1300-00. obviously works for the bike and running. BUt I heard it chows batteries like a pack of hungry wolves. Should be TO much of a problem if you do not mind using rechargeables. Bike - speedsensor Old Polars - Foot pod. Biggish but light and fairly accurate. Gives you speed and distance. New polars - Stride sensor - small silwer disc thing. Very accurate and gives you speed, cadence and stride length. I havent worn my stride sensor on the bicycle, but it should also give some interesting results.
  6. Do not know the Garmin at all. But after using the 725x (625x) for 5 years I did not want to move to something unfamiliar especially if the current system worked perfectly for me. I use it for running as well and opted for the stride senor (NOT FOOTPOD) as well and it is freaky how accurate it is while giving stride length and cadence as well. The only problem that someone may have is if they are not very technical......the amount of options, settings, excercise planning etc is mind blowing. If she isnt a technical person it would be better if you get the 800 and give the old one to wifey! Another big plus is that you do not need to send the watch in for a swop anymore. Opens with a R 5-00 coin, battery costs R 5-00 and last very long.
  7. New bike on the block........Marcello 2010 carbon frame with ISP, fizik saddle, easton handlebars etc. Dura ace 7900. This ALMOST brand new. Not one little chip on the frame (which still has a warrantee till 2005). Gruppo has a couple of 100 km's on it. Only ridden to church and back by an old lady ;-) All for R 15K.
  8. ekto corecto!!! That was many moons ago, good times.
  9. I was thinking of gate crashing the ride 2 km from the start! Or lets really stir......... Any low seeded person not riding can give his number and chip to me and I'll ride him into a much better Argus seeding!
  10. Jip, also had the tcr advanced with ISP.....had it for 3 months then fell off the indoor trainer and cracked the frame! :(
  11. Donner, I see that was back in 1999! My first one was only in 2005 Anyway, still 5 km over 3 hours is 1.67 km/h faster not 5 km/h faster. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Cape_Argus_Cycle_Race (all distances and winning times)
  12. Now you are talking twak. Old days the route were 108. now it is 110. so your avr. needs to be .67 km/h faster.
  13. Reallly know how to stretch that budget!
  14. Jip, I can get it below R 15K at cyclefunatic. Think it is a great deal and good looking bike. Rode a TCR couple of years ago and still was my favourite bike that I have ridden. Just wish it came with SRAM........
  15. actually looking at this.....the ultegra costs R 4500-00 more expensive....wheels also bit better. http://www.giant-bicycles.com/_generated/_generated_au/bikes/models/images/550/2011/TCR%20Composite%202_2000px.jpg
  16. I actually have a yes/no coin if this is going to be close :-) Remember that the Alu combo is a fair amount more expensive.
  17. Thnx. My thoughts as well!!! Lets go buy some bike!
  18. Carbon bike with 105 or Alu with Ultegra?
  19. Training partner will have its own rewards
Think it is a 2008 setup. Guy bought it for his wife hoping that she will take up the sport, but I know it hasnt been ridden once in the last year. Bike is at lbs to be checked out for and problems. But at the moment one of the biggest selling points is that is colours is the same as current road bike and helmet..... Thnx for info.
  21. Aqua-Titanium is most prominently used in our necklaces and apparel, where the entire fabric is permeated with Aqua-Titanium and emits energy that effectively controls your bio-electric current.
  22. Cool.....now the next thing is that she will need some training partners. Anyone keen on helping out? (she will probably kill me for this, but i'm seeing it as a free bump)
  23. I am a bit out of the loop regarding MTB prices. My friend can buy the following for R 25K, is it a good deal or are there better deals out there? Spes Epic S Works, Carbon frame, DT Swiss 1540 wheels, 240 hubs. Manitau MRD R7 shock. Full XTR drivetrain. Magura Martha brakes.
