  9. https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/99492-polar-725x/page__pid__1343033#entry1343033 Perfect.
  10. no, because I do not have one!!!
  11. Yebo, you receive 150 basis points as well as 50 bonus points by uploading the results to polar. Helps in getting to gold with Vitality giving you better benefits. So try to get a unit that is uploadable. I do not know the c series that well. BUT keep your eyes open for a 625x or 725x in the classifieds. If was the top watch up to a couple years back and is an amazing watch. Polars also last forever and service is top notch so do not worry about buying 2nd hand. A good idea is to have a look at watch watches gives you the infra-red option, I would recommend one with altitude as well......nice to see how steep, long and high it is and the relation to your HR. I do not know what the cheapest garmin is, but that will be your best option if you really want the GPS.
  12. ???? Please explain? One of the reasons why I stick with polar is their unbelievable content and options in the software. Exclusive. It all depends on: 1. What your budget is. 2. How analytical you are. 3. How complex you want your excersize to be. 4. Do yo prefer mtb or road (gps nice for mtb). 5. If you are a vitality member. 6. Only cycle or multisport. 7. If you want a powermeter as well.
  13. great stuff! Now all you have to do is link credit card facilities with an automatic fee going towards the hub.....then you can retire!
  14. Hahaha, 3 years later and I cracked 80. 79 now. Running really helped a lot.

  17. nee man, beteken dit dat kan nou fietsry onfiks moet raak? Hoe moet ek nou my intervals en stuff doen as ek nie my HR kan op kry nie? Wanneer kom join jou vrou ons by die drafklub?
  18. excuse me, but it is a CARBON horse!!!! But feeling limp and nooodly on the bike leaving the horse fairly unsatisfied and unhappy after the ride. Resting HR fairly low, havent checked but should be around 48. 52 now sitting behind a desk after cup of coffee.
  19. Nah, you guys are to negative. Prozac - i be watching this thread after the argus, let us know what happend. Go look at 2006. Weather wasnt perfect but not horrible. Top guys down to I got sub3's.
  20. thnx jeepdude, maybe just have to recalibrate my pacemaker
  21. Hi, the weirdest thing is that my HR has no problem with the running, will check this afternoon again as my hr avr with yesterdays ride were 125. My HR goes higher just looking at my avatar. Think Swiss my be correct that my cycling muscles are fatigued. They had a limp noodley feeling the last couple of weeks, but still I feel that I give enough time for them to recover. I havent ridden more than 3 times a week the last month, maybe the running has a bigger effect on the cycling than the cycling on the running? Any pro tri or du guys that experienced something similar? Another factor can be that I have a new bike and the setup is a bit different to my old one and new muscles are being used that are a bit useless at the moment. Resting HR is fine as well as the recovery after a hard effort.
  22. Last couple of rides on the bike I couldnt get it up at all (HR!!). In Sundays race my max was 175 with an average of 145. While running I have no trouble of reaching very close to my max.....last weeks 5 km TT i had an avr of 185 and max of 200. I am NOT overtraining and usually do one day cycling and one day of running. Why cant I get my HR up on the bicycle even though it feels like I am giving it my all?
  23. If weather is halfway decent and you arent to unfit it should be fairly easy.
