my 2c... did the 30, and quite enjoyed it, so I'll be back next year for a longer route. Negative: seeding sucked. Not only was seeding not accurate (just look at the results to see how far off it was), but there was also no control over what group you took off with (with there being no letter stickers added to the boards). So you picked a start pen, the omie wrote that letter on your board, and off you went... Except for me, who wrote my letter on my board beforehand, and then started right at the back with the about 20 others who did not leave with an earlier group...no on-the-day registration: I get that they can't administer all 2000 riders on the day (although - with the hugely staggered start times, maybe they could?), but there should be SOME allowances made for out-of-towners etc. my main gripe: start times for shorter routes. I get why you want to stagger the longer routes, but 10min between each start group for non-technical routes? 15km guys only starting after 11am?marshalling where there's a conflict of cars and bikes: I was involved in two very near misses - one in a car (coming in, the marshal directed us right into the start chute for the longer route!), and one on my bike near the finish. These marshals should really be trained well, or be accompanied by experienced marshals - was just not safe.
