  1. Yeah... 16yrs... pffft. Bloody glory hunting Gooner fans
  2. I was thinking similar... but then I think the experience of the City guys will elevate them above the relatively youthful Chelsea setup in a high intensity game. City should also be up for it... with an eye on building up for the Liverpool clash in style. City 3 - 1 Chelsea
  3. Just a early heads up that there are loads of new specials loading today online... Might be worth your while keeping an eye on WearDirect today https://weardirect.co.za/
  4. Bike setup for me is still the most important 'upgrade' you can make to your performance... being setup well obviously ensures optimum efficiency on the bike, but also reducing injuries is money well spent. It should be the first thing anyone does when they get a new bike, but it generally seems to be an afterthought for most. Marco and Arran at CycleFit are very good at what they do
  5. Yeah, always drop off the kids before heading out... even if you feel fine, the running works the gut something special and unless it's a shortish run, you're asking for trouble sooner or later. I've also witnessed first hand (while running with Mr Winter I recall), Vaal marathon two years back, some poor lady had very clearly had a 'full release' in her tights. She was 'hiding' in a bus... but it could sadly not have been more obvious I could only feel terrible for her, but yeah, I doubt she will ever make the same mistake again.
  6. Morning, apologies... been offline a bit long. I'm afraid a wholesaler wiped out much of our extra stock on these, so what is available online for these items, is it sadly for now. There will though be some plain black and white long sleeves loaded during this week which might be an option. We will be loading most of the remaining stock in the next few days leading up to pay day... there are a good 30-40 items, so should be some nice options for most. We're also starting to replace the high demand items with new manufactured stock, but these will be full price unfortunately. I also haven't seen any production sheets for Longsleeve Visi's, but thinking about it, they should definitely be in there... I will put in a word. Thanks again for the support, we know these are tough times for all and it is appreciated
  7. That is disappointing to say the least... you can't build and hype up the pedigree of the medal achievements, while allowing actions like this, that cheapen it so much, to go unpunished. Poor form
  8. People cheat in physical races... there were always going to be a few more doing so in a virtual race that's near on impossible to police. The age old question remains... Why? What do you honestly get out of such a brainfart, except for praise for something you didn't do, and therefore surely you can't value the praise anyway...
  9. Yeah, rather a bit smaller than too big... The Maxitherm also has good stretch, so relatively risk free in that regard
  10. I'm sadly short a sizing chart there... and not the easiest thing to prioritize on skeleton staff. The critical thing to keep in mind, is the 'holding up' is done on the upper thigh, and we're South African sizing so if you have large legs - you're a large, track sprinter legs - XL, normal/average legs - medium, lean legs - small... most more serious cyclists I find are small or medium. That said, if you're worried send me your thigh measurement and I will advise you which to take... Hope that helps, I'll try get together a sizing chart as well soonish
  11. For those who were looking for thermal socks... they are up online in black and white https://weardirect.co.za/product-category/cycling-accessories/
  12. Ran the 10km with the missus for some distraction... was actually cool out there. Big disappointment is seeing all the pics on Facebook of big groups/clubs together taking pics huddled together with their masks around their necks... One day the penny might drop
  13. This is not acceptable Friday behavior...
  14. Yeah, so many people put in a huge amount of work behind the scenes to make the series the success it is... it's all very sad of course, but we will be back, along with the series. It's far too good a thing to keep down. I still remember the early races when we were the title sponsors and we'd be happy with a hundred kids - so awesome how it's grown and the enjoyment and opportunity it brings to kids that we never had when youngsters... like many things, it will be even more appreciated after Covid I am sure. While it's obviously not ideal for us, we're among many other people fighting for survival at this time. Let's not even forget the main sponsor Spur who's whole business model is likely to need changing/adapting heading forward. We've got good communication throughout the whole series chain and it will be live on all the official channels the next few days as well, so we should get the message out to the masses... and hopefully get enough support. Thanks as always for your interest and passion, Maritz is lucky to have such an involved parent
  15. I'm waiting for the items to be sent to me from the factory so I can photograph and upload them. I'm afraid it probably won't be until next week unless there is another trip this week somehow... Sorry for the delay
  16. Our Anatomic Factory stores in Jo'burg, Pretoria and Cape Town will be selling the entire range of Spur School Series merchandise from today onward... 30% or more off all the latest stock for the Spur Schools MTB League while stocks last. If you can't make it to one of our factory stores, you can also order online through the official series website for delivery all over SA - https://entries.spurmtbleague.co.za/product/merchandise
  17. I think one of my biggest frustrations with our new Covid reality, is it just felt like we as a company were really starting to tick a lot of boxes with the refinement to many of our items... we've honestly never had bibs as good as the current Ergonomic or Platinums and as another example this is the updated cut of our Elite pattern. It was to be used in all the Spur School races this year... it's really such a neat, perfect little top. And for custom design bulk orders the pricing is seriously cheap relative to what's out there... I guess it gives us more to look forward to... in life after Covid
  18. Hi Hennie, sorry to hear this. While we will always generally try to keep our clients satisfied, our returns policy does seem to rub people up the wrong way at times. It is clearly stated in the shops, but if I'm honest I would probably do things differently from my personal point of view, but it's not my call. Thanks for the feedback regardless, we can only learn from our mistakes
  19. We did have, but they sold out... and unfortunately making new stock under Covid regulations is rather challenging to say the least.
  20. They'll be online... but I'll also suggest a top-up at Northcliff if the store owner hasn't already requested
  21. Will definitely be loading at the very least a whole heap of white ones later this week... I'll see what we have left of the black ones as well and put them up
