  1. Great job Mattie! Does that mean it's all systems go for the Big C?
  2. Was her second... and she klapped it. Also looking forward to her race report
  3. Bud, do you mind making running look a little harder please... 1:32 half marathon after only running for a year? Really? You're just taking the piss now... I don't think we can be friends anymore
  4. Well done of the runs this weekend... nice to see people hitting their goals and some
  5. Good luck for the weekend guys... wishing you strong legs/mind and a good time
  6. They could start by actually telling the whole truth... he's still playing the victim card last I checked. He will just go straight back to doing what he always did. Win at all costs.
  7. Spurs vs City tonight... not too hopeful, but it's a funny old game and you never know. A win would put us third and city 4th... that would be something quite strange based on the season so far, but like I said, not too optomistic about this one. Ali, Eriksen, Kane and an in form Lamela can definitely score goals, but I worry a bit about our defense and Lloris is not having a great time of late. Hoping Dembele has a good game, if he can control the midfield we always have a good chance. Same old Arsenal this week... get in their faces and they wilt Terrible news about the Foxes chairman and others who lost their lives. Also thoughts with Glen Hoddle - what a player he was. Hope he makes a full recovery
  8. Mistakes should always be fixed...
  9. Awesome, thanks... always great to have options. I enjoy the comraderie of a race and it's nice to have the support when you are rookies like us, but definitely keen to give one of these a bash with the wife
  10. And sold out... there will definitely be plenty subs, but don't be surprised with a record (?) field next year... I'd guess 22 000 or there abouts
  11. I'm actually in the opposite boat... they were very lucky to get past us last year and I think they will always struggle against the best sides. Of the English teams City and Liverpool I reckon would generally have their number and then the usual suspects of Bayern, Real, Barca etc Those knockout rounds are always tight and anything can happen, but I'd put them as the nearly rans much of the time.
  12. Spurs also gifted PSV a point after completely dominating the game... two ridiculous errors from two seasoned experienced players. Been the norm of late sadly. Pretty much the end of our Champions League campaign I reckon... might not be the worst thing - will allow us to focus on the more realistic trophy wins we really do still need. Europa, FA Cup, League cup... anything. A winning culture needs to start somewhere and we're frankly running out of time as this squad will not stay together forever if we don't start bringing home a little bacon
  13. Lekker okes... last years report and even better pics https://community.bikehub.co.za/topic/153222-cyclists-with-a-running-problem/page-336?do=findComment&comment=3202664
  14. It's seriously one of the best things I've ever done... we weren't nearly fit enough this year, but we just had to do the Extreme version over the Challenge as the views on day 1 are just not something we wanted to miss... I did post a review of sorts on it here last year. But below a couple pics I took this year that might also whet the appetite. Also really reasonably priced and such a nice part of the world to spend a weekend We'll be going back a lot fitter next year (although I am sure I said the same thing last year, but in fact did the opposite )
  15. I'm actually heading the other way... after a calf tear two weeks back ( ) - I'm going to be dusting off the bike. Been having endless problems again, no doubt linked to my poor conditioning, but want to give the calf a proper break, it's been strained for near two months, I soldiered through the Pirates to Pirates 22km and Run the Berg with it, but some action cricket finally crocked it proper two weeks back. I can walk comfortably again this week at least. Will stick with cycling and waterpolo for now and then pick up the running again in a month or so. Busy putting together my first official training plan of sorts heading towards Comrades - need to build up properly for once and then that will hopefully allow me to train more frequently - going to be pretty interesting to see if I can stick with it
  16. Often the sponsors don't really know what 10 000 versus 3000 looks like Sponsors want numbers, coverage, return on investment - telling them your event was actually only half the size your promised does not always go down too well... especially at contract renewal time. But as pointed out above, there are some real experts out there at blowing large volumes of hot air out of their rears
  17. With it being payday for many tomorrow, I expect the last of the entries to be gone by the close of business most likely. You can most likely sell your entry later on if you do change your mind. Entering also gets the ball rolling and your mind ticking over with plans - so it's good to get it out the way and commit to lining up on the day. If you've got a good running base there is plenty time to work/build up towards it. Good luck, enjoy the journey
  18. You could say that about a couple performances of Arsenals every season for the last decade... They do seem in a good space, but let's see what happens when they face some proper opposition. Spurs and Liverpool winning ugly... sometimes said to be a good thing, but they'll need to hit their straps sometimes soon if they're going to stick with City. I do worry about our Spurs squad, pretty thin with the current injuries and quite a few players who have played way too much football the last few years - it's a long old season. Chelsea look good, but too reliant on Hazard in my books - can he keep up this form for a whole season? Moratta is no Diego Costa - I think goals are going to cost them in the long run. United... who knows, they're a real Jekyll and Hyde lot at the moment. I am enjoying this little pantomime at the moment. Hopefully their erratic form keeps them high enough that they keep Mourinho, but hopefully out the top 4 come season end.
  19. Exactly... no point. There are always other halves, but you only have one heart
  20. What a little champ she is
  21. Obviously Greg didn't know about Eliud Kipchoge at the time
  22. Lekker little old boys club... still reaping the rewards of their years of fraud. So remorseful they'll happily hold rides to celebrate their great names, launch clothing lines and enjoy sponsored celebrity appearances at events. All their way of giving back of course to the sport and riders they stole so much from. Always wanted to ride "Doping Twat Gran Fondo vol 6.3.1"
  23. Good job... I have flagged you with SAIDS for possible post race celebrations Flat races are hard work - they're fast though, no doubt
  24. Great to hear Karmi is doing better... such a little fighter!
  25. I remember you believed and backed BS too... Can I sell you some of this? This stuff is so good it's banned in 69 countries, has been known to take hours off your Argus time and can even prevent cracking on a Canyon top tube no matter how much you try to tuck it up...
