The changes Momentum have made are a f**kup all round. Everything has basically been halved or less, active days is a joke compared to last year.... the list goes on and on!!
My feet are also a bit wonky and very narrow. In the salesmans defence he was only dissing my entry level Adidas shoe for my type of feet, not the brand as a whole. He explained things to me very thoroughly and wasn't trying to sell me any particular brand or the most expensive shoe. That gave me confidence. I don't actually know where else to go in Jozi. The people at Sportsmans warehouse and Total Sports are dismal to put it mildly.
Was Gordon who helped me and certainly did take the p1ss out of most Adidas shoes. I have no preference to any brand and after trying Asics, Brooks and the Saucony, based on what he explaned to me and the feel, the Saucony definitely felt great.
Cheers, thats certaily the impression I got. After being "tested" in several pairs it was decided the Suacony Guide 10 was best for me. I shat myself at the price but then I've been running in a rather *** pair of Adidas Duramo and they do feel horrble when comparing them to the Saucony. Think its worth getting cos its comfort and injury prevention I'm after, not world record pace!
Hey all, newish to running and I seriously can't go through this whole thread so sorry if it's been covered already. Any of you Jozi runners go to the Ranburg Runner in Linden and how do you rate their advice? Spent an hour there this morning and I was very impressed....but then my running knowledge is very limited.
